Guys, is it possible to fit an R15's console to an FZ16?
coz i don't like my FZ's fully digital console... i like the tacho to be analog...
          i like R15's and RTR's the most...
it's a nice feeling to see the RPM needle goes from bottom to top and vice vez. at the initial start check...

and more over FZ's console is like a toy.

            Adding Kilometers to Speedometer

I don't know whether it's a silly topic or not. But any help is appreciated as I've not been able to find out the resolution to my query even after spending considerable time and effort.
Just wanted to know whether there is any way to make up for the lost kilometers of any bike. I had changed the speedometer console of my bike (2012 SS125 - analog meter)after 7000 km.s after an accident. Once it was replaced, the km.s started to count from zero again. I've asked a number of mechanics including the ones in Yamaha Factory Outlet(Kolkata) whether there is any way to add those 7K to the present km.s in my speedometer(30K+) only to be replied in negative. The only way I was told was to keep rotating the front wheel after putting the bike in center stand and turning the ignition off. Now imagine doing that for 7000 km.s !
Does anyone know any other way to do that? Or done that in any other way?

              Approved and merged!

Mechanics are right. If you manage to devise a method to attach a table fan to the front tire and leave for the night every night, you may be able to cross many a big milestones, let alone 7k kms.

Open front wheel , take out speedo sensor, attach that sensor to a drill machine or and rotating object , this will be pure makeshift method.
Fire up the drill or rotating object , within hours you will rack up thousands of kms.

                    Nice to know.
                    But what's the point ?

I also changed my console at about 30,000km due to fried electricals and hence started from '0.0 kms'
Always delighted to see that odo rising everyday but never felt to get back the lost numbers

Although, while reading up i imagined the idea of attaching a stationary bike/exercise cycle to the front/rear wheel and peddling away to glory.
                    Two birds with single stone

No need .... Open the speedo, take a tong kind of a pointed object and slip the gears (odometer reading) and make the desired reading. Its not easy but its totally possible.
