      Suggestion : try 14 and 40 .

Wont 14/40 be giving me more accelaration and less top speed, either ways will be trying 14/40 and 13/42 both of them.

Given that Karizma is pulling 8000+RPM in 5th , while peak power is around 7000RPM ( need not be exact 7000 , could be 68XX RPM to 72XX RPM as well ) , so I do think a minor improvement in top speed is possible . I havent seen an actual Karizma graph , so its hard to say how much gains there will be as one needs to know the power curve stays ( drops sharply or drops slowly - after the peak ) .

just dont expect the moon , more like 2-3kmh ; at the cost of some acceleration , but if you know how to ride fast you'll compensate by shifting right . But that should help me - I keep shifting for a non-existent 6th gear even 17 months after riding the Karizma !

Zaid : 14/40 is taller than stock 13/40 , so it will make for lore top speed and less acceleration .

chain will start slipping i tried to put cbz sprocket in my kari.
but of no use. chain of kari is thick so it does not fit in.
i was unable to move my kari just for 1 meter and the chain was tight to max.
                        chain slipped.
u have to change the whole chain set bunny.

@ricci same with me bro I have a habit of shifting after the 5th coz i just unconciously feel there's one more left, and according to me I feel the power drop slowly after the peak at 7000 but the bike does pull steadily and the RPM does go till 9250.

I'm getting my sprockets made in mumbai at a place near charkop in kandivali, approximate cost is 200 for teh front sprocket and 300-350 for teh rear but will be fitting my bike exactly.

ricci's right, you ideally want to be hitting 7000 rpm at max speed. try various ratios to get there.
