      • NEVER RACE ON PUBLIC ROADS
We planned to go to our village.I felt like not going felt something going to be bad.
I was driving Alto Vxi 1.1 and my cousin was driving his 7 or 8 months old Estilo. It had rained earlier in the morning and was STILL drizzling.Roads were wet and empty.I was driving constant 80kmph,my cousin was behind me.Slowly speed increased to 100 110.He dissapeared so i slowed down, saw in rear view mirror estilo coming very fast so shifted to 3rd.Was doing around 100 he overtook,i slowed down a bit as i was too close then suddenly two guys on a cycle came on the road from nowhewre.we braked hard,Estilo's tyre burst and saw it going zigzag on the road and then suddenly it turned over I managed to stop and pulled over and ran to estilo till then it stopped by hitting a safari.Luckily 5 passengers came out alive but lil bit brused.cousin didn't put seat belt.
        LESSONS LEARNED
        1)NEVER RACE ON PUBLIC ROAD.
2)CHANGE TYRES ON ESTILO(MINE HAD BRIDGESTONE I ALSO BRAKED HARD,SO DID COUSIN=FAULTY TYRES)
3)ALWAYS USE SEAT BELTS(COUSIN DIDN'T PUT HIS.HE FELL ON THE OTHER GUY WHEN CAR TOPPLED CRUSHIN HIM BENEATHD)
4)ALWAYS LISTEN TO YOUR HEART WHEN YOU FEEL LIKE SOMETHING IS GOING TO BE WRONG

        • 1. while on feet ,never try to cross road ignoring the traffic,i once tried to cross a busy road(mayo hall junction)..managed to cross a car n then on the other side was a fiero ...that guy braked hard and in meantime i took 2 steps ahead..
when i think about that day i feel there is nothing more dumb a guy can do.

          2. never think its safe because you follow the rules. there are people on road who try to make riding uneasy for others.pedestrians jaywalking, cars racing n trying to drift ,autos turning without giving any signals, etc, etc

3.brake in advance the moment you see loose gravel, pothole, oil spilled on road, wet road ahead.

4.when signal turns green look both ways before moving, i have seen accidents where guys pull throttle on seeing yellow light and then bang in traffic on the other side.

5.while turning indicator signal isnt enough at times,
at a signal near my home ,where i always turn on the indicator to turn right (staying on the right most side )..people often overtake from right to go straight !!!!!...i always look behind to avoid any damage to my bike..a girl on her dio ,once missed me by inches !! ..
death is inevitable, but accidents are.

          catch me on FaceBook

I once had to take a Smiley ball (the sponge like thing with smiley on it, yellow color) home from an event. I didn't have a bag, so I removed my ZMR's seat and kept this thing under and locked it back. Then I started riding the bike back home. After some 15kms, the bike was suffocating.. Then I stopped the bike and started again. It started and when I shift 3 from 2nd, it'll again suffocate. I would run on first 2 gears. Then I remembered the ball and opened the seat only to find it stuck inside mouth of the pipe like thing inside (something that supplies air inside). and after removing the ball out, things were normal.
Years later, I faced the same issue. But this time rats have stuffed clothes there for building a nest. Removed it and was fine again.

Warning : This is going to be lengthy.

It was my early riding days. Got Dad's new bike and had gone out for some work.

Old couple in their car tried to overtake me in a narrow stretch without honking, while doing that they hit me from the right causing me to go off balance (luckily I didn't fall) resulting a good dent on their car's left door.

I somehow controlled my bike and stopped to ask if they were alright. That old fellow started to ask money for the car's dent and demanded my driving license until the car is repaired. Me, after first bike accident and being on new bike, was scared (Dad's new bike, remember?). Even though I said that it was his mistake but he was adamant on his word. He threatened me of calling the Police. I got shit scared even being right, gave my driving license and exchanged contact details. Soon after this the couple left.

Funny part is that the people who saw the whole incident (including the accident) didn't even help me and as soon as the couple left they started saying I never should have given the license as it was their mistake.

I called up my friend for help and he being busy asked me to contact his uncle who knows the Police Inspector of that area and can help me. So I did as asked, went to Police with friend's uncle and narrated the whole story.

Found out no one apart from the Traffic police have the authority to take one's DL. So police called up that old guy and told him to return my license.

That old man cooked up a story of me riding from wrong side. Constable caught his bluff and asked him to come to the police station for further "investigation" or he himself will file a complaint against him for taking a Government document without an authority. Listening to this he experienced the feeling that I did when I heard about Police from his mouth. Ha Ha, KARMA was in play!!

He agreed to return my license, which he did after getting a written letter from me about receiving the driving license. I called up the police station and thanked them for the help.

Moral : If you are right never get scared by the name - Police. Instead you request them for help.

What can I say, I was stupid.

As they say "One person's mistake is another person's lesson/learning." - Something like that.

                Cheers!!

                  Hello all

Its rainy season and mostly the roads are wet.(i love to ride during the monsoon)
Yesterday while coming back from work in the evening it was drizzling. I was extra careful on the throttle and brakes. The traffic was slow and i was doing 10-12 kph when the bike infront of me stopped and i applied front disc to avoid bumping into it, the next moment i feel this jolt with my bike pouncing ahead underneath me. I somehow managed to stay on top of it because there was space on the left side and i pulled in the clutch and maneuvered the bike. Actually this taxi guy rear-ended me. I looked back at him with anger building up but he looked really apologetic and was gesturing me to calm down - and i did.

Lesson here is:- Always be careful when the roads are wet. Braking distance increases in such situations + Be aware of the traffic behind you. Try to get clear if you see heavy vehicles right behind you. You don't want to break hard in front of a big truck doing substantial speeds.

                  Cheers.

                    Hey everyone

                    2 days in a row
Today morning while coming to work i was stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic for atleast 30-40 mints with buses/cars/scooters/bikes/cyclists thrown in the mix with a bottleneck up ahead due to reckless oncoming vehicles.
Anyways, just as my bike was about to budge forwards i felt a car's front tyre pressing on my outstretched left foot !
The force was enough to fix my foot to that point on road, i couldn't move or yank my foot away - i could feel my little toe was under great pressure and if the tyre rolled even an inch further then im certainly looking at a crushed finger I started banging the bonnet with my left hand with all my might and luckily enough the driver understood and backed off. I wiggled my toes inside the shoes - realized everything was anatomically fine - took a relieved breath - shot an ugly look to the driver - whispered curses under my breath and moved on.

Moral here:- Usually i wear boots with a steel cap whenever im riding. But due to rains they were drenched and so i was wearing simple sports shoes and almost lost my juniormost toe. Although this has happened for the first time to me.
Another good thing was my wristwatch was in my bag or i would have definitely put lot of scratches on it.

                    Cheers.
