Dunno about this...I ride to listen to music ..get on the highway and put out 100W on waterproof speakers at full blast and rip on the tarmac...its the best form of meditation I know, so far..

Most people listen to music, but that's illegal and immoral IMHO.

Illegal because law forbids the same. Immoral because riders get totally deaf. And no I'm not talking about just honking, they do NOT pay attention to the small gestures one makes, waves/calls for attention etc.
Hence I stay 20 feet away from people who blast music in their cars or in their ears.

And no, I hate headphones inside my helmet. Tried it once inside city to get help from Google navigation and I hated the experience. For me, I like to be 100% awake and aware from my end as much as possible.
      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Done that a few times and found that it's quite distracting. Also you tend to throttle up to the tune of fast beat songs like for e.g. dhoom
