Thanks Joel. Those words coming from you... whoa!Originally posted by Joel View PostJust a note - scraping your knees does not necessarily mean that you are going any faster. Good body posuture man, keep it up.
I had a 2nd look at Aryan's pix. I think a few minor tweaks and it would be fine. But as Joel said, just because I am scraping it, does not mean I am going faster. I THINK that I was doing somewhere between 70 and 80. But I think that Aryan was doing it faster. But I still think that he requires a little tweak and he will be there.Originally posted by spiderweb View PostWell this brews up a lots of question in my mind, looking at Aryan's pic...

Am I missing anything here?

@Aryan I hope you not trying to fool us by jst Posing wrongly & intentionally...!!!

As far as I remember he was taking that corner at 80+ km/hr. speeds..Originally posted by Lost Soul View PostHey ken what was the speed at that corner , was it 70+ ? or less on the P220 ? .
i approach it at 72 , then till middle of corner make it to 62-64 and then full throttle .

Yes, I had a detailed look at my body position too after coming home yesterday after the session. It really is pathetic, that's the least I can say. I NEED to improve a LOT! I'll try and do it sometime soon, so that I can atleast try to get decent at this whole cornering thing.Originally posted by ken cool View PostI had a 2nd look at Aryan's pix. Then maybe you are right.Originally posted by Aryan View PostAs far as I remember he was taking that corner at 80+ km/hr. speeds..

Actually, I have had so much difficulty and trauma in my life related to corners and biking that recently one of my philosophies has been to NEVER look at the console while approaching and taking a corner. I would like to go in at the slowest speed that I am comfortable with and make it through smoothly. And gradually step it up slowly as I warm up. These are words from Vivek. The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Precisely! 'Warming up' is really important, more so in something as important (and dangerous) as cornering. I started with about 57 km/hr. in 4th gear, moving on to 77km/hr. during one of my last run(s) at top gear.
Some more SERIOUS practicing sessions are needed to get it all a little better. Perhaps, a few more early morning stints there would help.:)
