  • Fuel Savers ? Anyone tried them ? Do they work ?

Some people were advt. a Fuel Saver, for two wheelers, at the petrol pump where I fill up... these are Neodymium Super Conductor Magnets as per their brochure, and the fuel saver is called the maxfuel saver, their website is Max Fuel Saver - Save UPTO 28% In Petrol / Diesel / LPG / CNG - Two & Four Wheeler
There must be many other such products from other brands, this is one I know of...
Has anyone bought this / using this if u are, how is your experience in using this product ? particularly for 200+ cc's engine capaciy bikes...

AFAIK, its all bogus. Nothing more than a scam.
Your biking tells a lot about the person you are!

perhaps it is... but as for the technical and scientific explanation it does make sense... what I want to know is, Does anyone use this ? do reply guys... I want to know before I buy this for my P220...

When I used to be kid and my dad was having scooter, many such products came to market for 4-stroke engine and some of my dad's colleagues tried.. But that didn't work.
Please use all possible safety measures while riding and remember others also riding on the same road...

The following pages give some more information on the types of "fuel saving device" you see advertised, and why they can't work as described (note that some devices claim more than one effect). I can't list every device on the market, because there are literally hundreds of them - in many cases the identical device sold under multiple names. Even if the device you're looking at isn't specifically listed, it almost certainly falls into one of these catagories: Magnets round the fuel line or in the air flow (Ecoflow, FuelMAX, FuelSaverPro, etc)
Catalysts in the fuel line or tank (Broquet, Fitch Fuel Catalyst, Prozone, etc)
Platinum-based combustion enhancers (PVI, Gasaver, Ctech3000, etc)
Ignition enhancers (Fuel Saving & Power Push, Fireball Ignition, etc)
Air bleed into the inlet manifold (Ecotek, Khaos, Powerjet USA, etc)
Turbulence increasers (Ecotek, Tornado Fuel Saver, Powerjet USA, SpiralMax, etc)
Devices to "atomise the fuel better" (Ecotek, Tornado, SpiralMax, Vaporate, etc)
Oil additives (Slick 50, Duralube, etc)
Fuel additives to enhance combustion (Acetone, PowerPill, BioPerformance, etc)
Engine "cleaning" products (10k Boost, Powerboost, etc)
Electrical modifications (grounding straps, voltage stabilisers, etc)
            Hydrogen generators

            Some background:
The "power and economy myth" - performance add-ons don't usually help economy
My technical qualifications and experience - why you should believe me
Moral justification for this site - my right to say what I say
The "scientific method" - observations on testing
Lean burn engines and conspiracy theories - car makers aren't in the pay of "Big Oil"
The Skeptic's Dictionary - an excellent resource for all those who prefer proof to anecdotes
Mythbusters - at last, a TV show that bothers to check the facts

Max Fuel Saver is a frequency resonator that uses Neodymium Super Conductor Magnets, which break and then realign the hydrocarbon chains in the fuel passing through the fuel line of your vehicle. The magnetic field created by the Max Fuel Saver ionizes the fuel being fed to the engine, which itself produces a more complete combustion, maximizes fuel economy, improves fuel efficiency and reduces polluting emissions.
By installing these Neodymium Super Conductor Magnets close to your carburetor/injection system, your vehicle will start to feel the result of the Resonance frequency of the Neodymium Super Conductor Magnets and by making the fuel flow smoother your engine will run more efficiently.

Sarcasm is my automatic response to stupidity.

It is not all bogus , small amount of pure dry Acetone , about 2.5ml
per liter of petrol has been demonstrated to increase mileage , smoothness
and power of a engine , as well as reduce emissions . Some claims of drastic increase of mileage to 50% increase may be too much .. but as
a chemistry student once , I feel the theory at least , very plausible .
Now if someone could just do the simple experiment to prove / disprove/
              measure the benefits .
One thing i can say for sure is that it certainly wont harm the engine because of the dilution . Also I know of petrol auto-rickshaws running fine for many many years in kolkata on a concoction of naptha & kerosene .

Simple solution: Why don't you try it if you have confidence in the theory?

And post the results. Exclude the psychological gain and post figures!
                You get the point?? :D

you can try out the nulon engine oil additive. It has increased the fuel economy of my honda dio & the engine is now uber smooth. I had tried it while using castrol power 1 which is part synthetic.

                    so my conclusion:-
nulon engine additive + castrol power1= uber smooth engine+fuel economy

                    here is the link http://www.nulonindia.com/

Its an "engine treatment" dude. The Nulon says that the product coats the internal part with Teflon and reduces friction.

well what is the difference between an engine treatment & an engine oil additive bro??? Both are same.

Yes, AFAIK both are the same things, when Additive is packed inside the bottle we call it just an additive. But, when it is poured in engine. it becomes engine oil treatment.

                            +1 to it.

But how many people have used this consistently to have the effects.

Mostly people use for curiosity for a short period of time and take the mileage into account.

I am not debating this issue but merely looking for a solid confirmation.
Moreover are there any after effects?
34567 kms and ZMR sold :(

as i have already told in my earlier post my engine has become uber smooth after using it. And about the after effects i havent faced any of those (negative effects).
