    To continue the discussion regarding helmet mount of Action cam, I had read somewhere that this is not the most safest option. The reason is the helmets are already designed to have an optimum distribution of forces in the event of a crash and installing a helmet mount is an additional source of a point load on the helmet surface, if your cam gets in contact with any hard surface in the event of a crash. So in worst case, it can theoretically cause the helmet to crack, if you fall, hitting your cam first on the road.

    Helmet mount.
    on bike you cant move it to show left or right, whereas while leaning you can keep head steady.

    Or get two mounts, interchange it occasionally.

    I think you should go for the helmet mount. Sure the view will be amazing if you mount it on the windscreen, but a first person point of view will have much more immersion. Cheers

    I prefer the helmet mount ... it will record what i see . So fair enough. And less jerky compared to bike mount.

    Try all the mounting and record at the same road, now watch which is not jerky, good position, then decide.

    guys just recently bought a gopro, and am in two minds whether to fix it to the bike wind screen or to the helmet.

    the bike view would be superior (the banking effects would come out beautifully) but given the deplorable condition of indian roads, the video might also come out shaky.
