Whoa!!! Are you sure? IMO, this is breather hole for the air to seep in & not for water to seep out!!!

Can you elaborate on this one pls? Are you saying that you're unable to start if you open up the lid before starting the vehicle?

Ya. there's a breather hole in the lid..but the water drainer should be under the tank.. Thats what I dont find.. The only attachment is the sensor for fuel level!!

Ya. Once I open the fuelcap a minute berofe starting, the problem gets solved. There must be a block in the fuel cap hole compromising in pressure adjustment. I will check it today..

      thanks dude

What I assume is, the breather hole should be covered up (dirt/dust probably) & when the fuel tank is exposed to hot sun, the fuel evaporates & some amount of pressure is formed within the tank. So once you open up, this evaporated fuel escapes adjusting to the regular atmospheric pressure. Just a wild guess!!!

yes! if the breather hole is blocked, must open the fuelcap to adjust the pressure

Mine is Pulsar 150 DTSi UG2. I park my bike office parking area and I cover it to prevent paint fading. when I take my bike in the afternoon it goes off after 150 - 200 meters run as if there's no fuel. I have to pull the choke and kick 10-15 times to start it after that. Once it starts, there's no problem.
This problem doesn't shows when I start my bike in the morning ( My be because there's no sunlight heat during the night).

Also there's no problem if I park my bike in a shed during the day time.
please advice a remedy. Is it because of fuel vapourization from carb. due to sunlight heat?
              please help.
nothing to be worried about. Just open tank lid. wait for 5 second and start your bike. I think sunlight or heat create some vacuum so the fuel not able to pass.

Thanks dude. but I was looking forward to find out the root cause of the problem, and I think I found it out.. It was a block in the pressure regulating hole in the tank cap.

Thanks all experts who took this thread seriously and put in their valuable suggestions...

Moderators, thanks for approving this, my problem seems solved.

i had the same problem with my avenger 200. what i used to do was to tilt the bike, like what we used to do with old scooters and then start with choke on.. this has worked for me.. next time may be i can try opening the lid..
