    Hi Guys,
I have attached 2 pics of my stock 117.5 jet and the ZMA's 125 sized jet. However, i feel that they look they same in diameter.
Is it just a feeling or do they really have a difference? i am confused.

Could someone explain what the splitfire cables are? The pros and cons? Or in case if it has been discussed already, could I be re-directed to that?

PS: The newer looking jet is the ZMA's jet which my P180UGIII is running on now after the RC1060.

I have posted these questions on another thread related to AIR FILTERS.

        @sam92:
the ZMA's jet costed me 145 bucks from the HH showroom.
ANd i dont think i have arrived at the right mixture.
I still feel the over-heating, the misfiring( sometimes)
I went to the cservice centre this saturday and asked the mech to tune my Carb. He just bent down, raced the engine slowly and said ' its perfect".
not sure how he said that. He should be knowing better.

@coplay-zma runs on keihin carb and pulsar on mikuni, hence the jet sizes differ and cant be compared just like dat..
the 125 zma jet costed me 15 rs..brand new..took it from a dealer dealing only in carburettor parts in delhi..
now that u hv spent amount to buy the jet, try comparing the dias by inserting wires of variable thicknesses and see if there's a difference..else go for a bigger size jet manufactured by mikuni only..u cud try the 220dts-i jets..
as far as tuning is concerned, i recommend do it urselves...take out the spark plugs and clean them completely using a sand paper..the tip and the base area around it on which the ground electrode joins...then rip your bike at around 8k for some distance, stop there, take out the plugs and see the surrounding area..if its light black, the mixture is perfect..if dark black, mixture is rich..so open the air screw a lil bit more..if very light, the mixture is lean, close the air screw a bit..hope it helps..

why do i feel that .. even if we upjet it ..there will still be overheating ..
because more air more fuel more combustion so more heat

                            • @sam92-a common screw opens in anti-clockwise rotations and closes in clockwise rotations..if the area is sooty black,it means ur burning excess petrol and insufficient air..so by opening the screw,u wud increase the air flow quantity..if the colour is too light, then ur burning lesser petrol as compared to the air that is available, hence closing the screw wud decrease the amount of air inflow..
@coplay- try getting ur hands on the jet of p220dts-i from the bajaj showroom..or u might check out the bike market if there is any in bangalore..

                              • I have a p180UG3. Does the opening of the VC screw make the mixture richer or leaner?
