yeah yeah well the best part which i remember one of the persons who came from the company to see the service center when he says to the floor in charge that i dont wana meet any customer. i told him u dont wana meet any customer dude u r representing the company and u have to listen to the complaint of the customer.
Next time when he came he said sorry to me an email to hmsi was sent with a quote of his statement which he gave to the floor person. Poor fellow when they learnt I am selling the bike they were so happy but u never know when there is a change that i come back buying a Honda product again in the future.

There is one thing which I really like about this bike dazzler is the sound man i miss that soundless ride where as pulsar makes good one

I agree Arun the soundlessness is really good compared to Pulsar, etc.; however, if you happen to get a dude bike at the first place (like me) with lot of in-built problems, then its really a big pain.

The mileage still sucks at 40 kmpl.

After many visits to the service center, I'm still stuck with a very poor mileage of 40 kmpl. Finally, i placed a complaint on Honda. Soon, I got a call from the Silicon Honda head office asking me to drop the vehicle for a day. Next day, when I went there, a guy from Honda was there and he inspected the vehicle and asked me to drop the vehicle for checking.

All this to no avail! I am still getting the pathetic mileage.

Now, what would be the right thing to do? Whom shall I approach to get it fixed? Any suggestion guys.

I see something wrong with carburettor settings, I would suggest you demand HMSI to replace the carb under warranty. However, you leave the bike for inspection at HMSI so that they track the issue. Most HMSI dealers are partly owned by HMSI itself, normally if the problem is tracked they will replace the part even w/o informing you.

That is really a good progress comparing to your previous figures. Now, you got the points to consider for better mileage!

Enjoy your ride and stay safe!

Before first service, the bike used to give a mileage of 50+ kmpl.
After first service, the mileage dropped to 35-40 kmpl! This led to me running to service center frequently to get it fixed. All they would do is do some tunning and the issue won't be fixed.

Finally, they did a mileage test with 100 ml petrol in the can. On the test, the mileage turned out to be 60 kmpl! This high mileage was absurd but I was speechless. It was me who was riding so the question of difference in mileage due to riding style did not arise.

                    In nutshell;
On road mileage is 40 kmpl.
Test milelage (with 100 ml can) is 60 kmpl.

How can this difference be explained? If I go to the service center, they would say the test is showing the mileage correct and there is no issue in the bike. I'm really confused.

                    Please help.
Buddy. The test mileage with 100ml can will be always much higher when compared to onroad mileage.
When i tested my fiero mileage some years back with a 100ml bottle test, We got around 74km/ltr but my actual on road mileage is around 52-55km/ltr.
                    Which is fair enough.
For Dazzler,100ml bottle test might give more than 70kmpl atleast so that u will get a good on road mileage.

They are claiming that they can do chennai to pondicherry in just 2litres in a Honda twister.i.e more than 70km/lr mileage. Ask them if they can prove the 70kmpl mileage in our city traffic conditions.
So 100ml bottle test is always a different kind of test when compared with the regular usage.

Correct me if i am wrong.

What do you mean by HMSI? Are you referring to Honda dealers or something else. As mentioned, I had left my vehicle several times at Silicon Honda (Banashankari and RV Road branches) but nothing got fixed.

Get the tappets adjusted. Misaligned tappets are usually the main culprits. Dealers don't adjust them properly coz the mechanic needs a lot of experience and training to adjust them well.

I had the same problem with my Unicorn and I stopped giving my bike to the A.S.S. after the 3rd service. To hell with the warranty. 3 years, 40,000 kms later and with a private mechanic, it rides like a dream.

Harsha is my mechanic and he is very good. His garage is in Banashankari opp Yediyur lake. His garage name is Honda Automated something (Top Gear). From Kanakapura Road, take the lane next to the flagstaff (the lane between the flagstaff and an apartment block) just opp to Yediyur lake. If the lake is on your right, then the lane is on the left and BEFORE the flagstaff. His garage is close to the KR Road end of the lane. Excellent mech and very reasonable pricing too. Been giving my motorcycle for over 3 years.
