    HH karizma's poor plastic quality

    Hello friends,
    i am facing a problem with my 6-7 months old karizma-R. just within such a small period of time, the plastics all over the bike have started getting cracked near screw fixings. when contacted showroom, they claim it to be accidental failure, misuse of bike. And they replied that it was not a manufacturing defect, and so cannot be replaced in warranty. There is no sign of crash on my bike. all rear cowls and tail light are cracked and hanging from the bike, just because of cracks near fixing screws.
    I dont know, whom should i contact next? and what legal action can i take. it will be very helpful, if i get a guidance and help,support from XBHP.

    Generally these type of damages are a result of mishandling and are not covered under warranty.

    If you didn't crash it, maybe somebody else..please confirm

    also I want to ask where do you park your bike? do you have a safe parking?

      its a problem with all the karizma, even i have the same problem. all you can do is go for a insurance claim. i will be doing the same.

        Yes it is one of the standard problems ...Even if you change the parts, they will also break after sometime...best to see someone who does Fiber Glass repair ,and fix the breakage with Fiber glass .

            those who got this same problem should also mail to HH regarding this problem just like DJ did.. don't take it lightly..

            you guys just have to reply to the mail which DJ sent to HH along with different biking mags..pressurize HH to do something strict to solve this problem..

            @DJ - send that mail to these guys as well who are facing this same prob..

              friends,
              i know this is a common problem. i have a covered parking in basement in my office. which is very safe. there is no sing of crash or accident, else i myself had covered it in insurance.
              i wouldnt have much issues, if it breaks after a year or so, but within 6 months is too cheap quality.
              friends, i am making a case against herohonda for this cheap quality plastics, which they provide in so called premium bikes.
              kindly mail me if you are facing similar problems with your karizma plastics.

                        my friend faced almost same kind of problem with HH Hunk though it was not as big as yours..i'll click & post pics of that as well

                          I own zma since past 6 years now. nothing can be done for this issue, the best solution i had found here in mumbai is kurla CST road.

                          e.g - new front mudguard for only Rs-250/- . The price for other plastic parts is almost half. Last time i changed fairing of both sides for 1400/- bucks only.

                            but then why don't you guys complaint about it to HH if you are facing this issue..i never faced this with my ZMR otherwise i would've complained about it from its very first day..

                              we consumer never speak out, and this is why company keeps on making such cheap quality products. we accept it at a higher price and so they make it and sell it. If we speak up, they will learn a lesson. our silence on such issues is the reason why the company owners today ride comfortably in BMW, AUDI, merscedes and prosche.
                              How can we bear this? we have to speak up.
