Well, firstly, i have read in a post that the ABS system needs to be connected to some machine during service and the TVS ASC people are avoiding that service, (and being a victim of ASC peoples lazyness) i feel that this problem of Improper service mechanics is spread everywhere for TVS(I have tried 2 TVS SVC's in hyderabad, friend tried one in coimbatore and i have read quite some posts about these guys behavious). So, its difficult to use anything which needs servicing when you have people like these...

Moreover, i came across a particular post couple of days back which spoiled my impression on TVS quality even more... http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...180-a-815.html

I might have exaggerated... but its purely my opinion, and im sorry if i offended anyone in any way...

Brake bleeding will be needed only if its disturbed. One need not disturb it even for changing pads. The equipment which is required is brake bleeder (must be vacuum or pressure driven). Any ABS bike will need it due to long brake ducts. If the equipment is used for Non ABS bikes, it saves time and bleeding can be done perfectly.

Please give link to that particular post. I have changed my used setting to maximum posts per page and latest first. That link lead me to first page of RTR180 Thread.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

@ madhav krishna: the saferide abs is a mechanical abs system... but it is not as efficient as the ECU controlled ones.....

well then i better drop the idea of buying an abs system......

Could any one suggest me a good service center for my dazzler..... My bike dealer Fortune Honda has the worst service centers in the twin cities........

          Go through this.. & learn

btw, i'm unable to lock my front wheel & its not because of awesome road grip or some silly brake issue but because of this thread.. And practice. So, if can do it you can do it too.

This is total BS! Don't go for this system. It just softens the brake setup, and maybe you'll crash even more than now.

There is no True ABS without a proper real time speed sensor on both wheels. And an electronic unit controlling it.

Reason: Grip is not the same everywhere, everytime and on every ride of yours.

              Dint knew this fact.

I remember ananth (antz.bin) claiming that he used this system on his P220 and was satisfied of it in the P220 ownership thread.

^^ I am aware that the thread starter has decided now not to get ABS system. But just kike to clarify the below points :

The TVS system is pretty simple-if the ABS light glows ON, just take it to a SVC where they connect it to a Computer, find the fault code and rectify. The ABS system works fine for many xbhp members-just check out the A180 ownership thread! I guess all the computer-controlled electronic system in car/bike is like this.

I am sure that no reputed aftermarket company ABS-kit is available here. From what I have read, the ABS module tuning differs for each individual bike model.

true, and the SVC in my city (Erode) has it and I guess it will be for all other SVC's.

                  P.S: I have a A180-ABS and have ridden about 350Kms till now.
