U've seen a good example of common sense of these mechs like taking power from indicators?

If u do some mod, u should know what r t things to be done and then brief it to the mech/ele or it will end up in a mess man.

To fit a HID to my bike a mech quoted 300rs

I told him its already DC converted still !! What the hell these mechs are thinking.!! I told him gimme 300rs I fit HID to ur head

Shree, I can visualize u r armed with an HID on ur head

, but cant imagine of getting power from the caps

Then who fixed ur HID? and whats ur opinion with that flood light?

I fixed them myself.

I am not very happy with HID's, pure waste of money. 90/100w is better deal.

With HID only thing is it attracts people/cops

and consumes less power n generates less heat. Light produced is getting wasted too much

I am thinking to do some Jugad to my Merc Lens to make it hold the H4 HID. Will try this weekend but before that my battery issue should be solved.

Hehehe. No now am getting HIDs and 3rd Gen projectors they have angel eyes and are wide angled so more light every where

currently working on something :P so a thread should be up soon.

H4 in the mercs Lens ? Why dont u get that Mercs lens to my place i have most of the holder type bulbs if it fits we can exchange bulbs

Shree u cant fit an H4 to a D2S socket, max u've done with an H1

. U may need to pull out the whole bulb from the H4 socket, dismantle from the solenoid if its there, and make a dummy bulb base for the H4 bulb. Lot of pain and may not be a correct fit too. Me too even thought of it, considering the final outcome was not that sure, I backed off. Effectively we may spoil the H4 bulb for ever.

U got an offer from Nav, are we going back to the barter system?

That sounds cool, it is D2S type lens but its only Low Beam Projector. I shall give you a call next weekend as the projector is in Mysore, I will get it this weekend

Well i own a Unicorn for which i converted the Headlamps to DC bcz the stock lights were very poor. I ve also put OSRAM NIGHTBREAKER 55/60w bulb.
In simple the light is superb, i am pretty happy with the performance.

Now the discharging rate will be more than the charging rate of battery, right? I want this problem to be solved. Pls help me.

--> If i change the regulator alone will the charging rate increase or should i get the coil rewind done?

--> If not what other possibility is there to increase charging rate of battery?

--> ZMA also has a DC headlight with 7ah battery, so can i use any of ZMA's component that increase the charging rate? Eg. Alternator or Regulator.

--> I also heard that Avenger's alternator will fit fine, is that true? Is it a direct fit to Uni also??

Please do help me techies

Dude I own a Bullet as well. Bullet has a 3 phase RR which can't be directly plonked to Unicorn. After putting the APE RR I guess my problem is solved.

Will confirm by weekend once my battery is up n working.

Hey man, do you know Uni has got a single phase alternator whereas Bull has got a 3 phase one. How can you match with these two? Any new ideas?

Here we are sharing our experiences what we know exactly not guesses other wise its really misleading others, for your kind information pls
