^^^ Why didn't you transfer the bike & move to Delhi in the first place? BTW, what help do you want? Are you expecting us to go pickup your bike, drain fuel, get it wrap the bike, booked at the railway station & send you the counter foil or something else?

Use Indian Railways any day. My friend has used their services to almost move the bike throughout the country from Jammu to Bangalore and then to lot of other places.

Indian Railways provide a pretty good service but as aargee said you should have sent your bike before you left Chennai. Don't expect Railways to go to your home and pick up the bike. Probably some of your friends can do that for you.

"never trust indian rail" i dont say that but never trust indian rail empolyees. once i saw a group unloading a bmw byke at trivandrm rly station. it was pathetic. try some airway or road way courier service. u will get their number from the lorry they transport.

Don'tworry dude, same was with me I shifted to Ahmedabad from Mumbai. I got my bike in Train only. I took some passenger train ticket for bike around which was around RS 300 & that railway guy told me to give RS 500, to the person who will pick up the bike n keep in train. I gave him RS 500 & to be frank, he really packed my bike in front of me, really NICELY & i got my bike @ Ahmedabad without a scratch !!!

While transferring ZMA form Hydreabad to Banglore.
I drained the petrol. Indian Railway drained the air also.
The back Tyre was punctured when it reached here.
Had a hard time pushing the bike to puncture shop from the Banglore City Railway Station

What bike are you talking about?
In case its a bike with fairing and lot of plastic parts you can forget about Indian railways.Incase, other wise Indian railways are the best and cheapest option available.

By road i was quoted anything between Rs.1000-1500-2000 for moving the bike from Delhi to Bangalore. But eventually sent it from train.
