I have heard that old hunks are lagging in mileage, but the new ones have better mileage.

      i own a pulsar 150 UG4.5 and completed 11k on the odo
and i'm constantly getting mileage of 52-55 in city easily.
I woud'nt like you to push you towards bajaj but if you're inclined towards honda then i think the the bike in my opinion would be honda unicorn
it's engine and gearshifts are butter smooth and the monoshock is too good and well suited for indian roads and it delivers 13.5 bhp and a good low end torque and it easily delivers 50KMPL.
however if you want something more stylish and sporty then think none other than the CBZ,it's stylish and sporty as well, and a lil' bit more powerful than the unicorn.
but the refinement on the unicorn is best in 150cc category.
Hunk in my opinion should be your last preference as it is not the most stylish nor the most powerful bike in this segment.
      coming back to pulsar
dude don't compare the latest series of pulsars with the older series as the refinement, power and mileage is way better .
i personally love the p150 it has never let me down in terms of performance or mileage.

If you're someone who doesnt give a damn to looks and only gives head to functionality then go for,
                  CBF Stunner or Honda Shine.

The Stunner accelerates like crazy and yet gives a mileage of 60~65Kmpl.
The Shine, in comparison to the CB Unicorn is a better choice cause with the price difference and waiting period to consider, the performance difference is almost negligible, infact the bike when ridden seems abit more civil than the unicorn at high speeds. And it also gives a mileage of 60~65Kmpl.

                  2000 ~ 2017 Y2K Kinetic Zoom (Disposed at 15k)
                  2011 ~ 2015 Hero Honda Karizma R (Sold at 56.5k)
                  2013 ~ 2014 Bajaj Discover 100 4G (Sold at 16.5k)
                  2015 ~ 2017 TVS Wego (Totaled at 18k)
                  2015 - Bajaj Pulsar 220F (Currently 31k) < Garage Queen!

You like the Pulsar 150 then why don't go for it. After having ridden the P150 its quite obvious that you will feel like uncle on a sedate bike like Hunk or older unicorn. Dazzler is good but you have yourself crossed out that. GS-150R is not available in your area. P135 is small for you. And you want a fuel economical powerful machine. In these regards P150 is a clear winner. Test ride it.

i've done 11,000 K.M.S in 1.5yrs that's about enough to get to know your bike i guess
the only problem that any bajaj customer would tell first would be the chain problems but they have been headache since a long time for bajaj.

most chain problems occur due to incorrect wheel alignment(i faced it my self) when you go for puncture the road side mechanics just bolt your tire without any correct alignment which leads to premature wear and noise from chain and sprockets.
other than is i've not faced a single problem and not even a rupee spent on my bike except petrol and engine oil change !!

bhai my only concern would be the inspection of the bike before you take it out of the showroom
*the top priority where most of the people are tricked are tyres
believe me the eurogrip tyres they provide are completely worthless !!!
they also give out mrf's too but u'll notice as long as you don't ask or insist on mrf they won't provide you
*the next thing are rims check for bent or dented alloy wheels
*also check for the meter reading it should not be more than 3-5 KMS if more then ask for a proper explanation

neither same power nor same torque.

so shine is more stable than unicorn at high-speeds?
                              and stunner accelerates like crazy?

                              i choose p180 over p150.simple reason just 3k price difference,tubeless tyre,wider tyres,better brakes,more top whack,pick-up,torque and highspeed stability.just 5 kmpl less mileage.better styled.

ps. barring cbr and r15 , rtr rocks my boat in 150cc segment.
and the question remains why do i race?
every finishing line is the begining of a new race.

#i have learnt to manipulate my own adrenaline and the perception of biking is different.
                              #overkill is underrated.
#how random roads may appear there is always a destination.sigpic
#i don't subscribe to co-incidence,either it is the rider or the other moron on the road

(:)people keeps on saying add spark to life, bajaj got hold of that idea and added an extra spark to bike.

Being a Hunk owner, I would tell you the pros and cons of Hunk I felt.

                                Pros:
                                Super smooth-silent engine
Good suspension with Gas shock absorbers @ rear
                                Excellent sudden acceleration while overtaking
Looks (but this varies with persons)

                                Cons:
Front disk brake could've been better
                                Weight (140+ kgs)
Headlight brightness comapred to Pulsar/RTR etc
