Bro, you mentioned 50 kmpl, and then you mention ZMR. These are contradictory propositions.
I mean, if you ride a ZMR Splendor-ishly, then you get 50+ kmpl mileage.
          I got it twice.
          But, the bike is bulky.

Regarding other options, (apart from ZMR/Hunk)
          1. Apache RTR 180 ABS (sub 1 lac) - worthy choice IMHO. (new version coming soon)
          2. Pulsar 220 (sub 1 lac)
          3. Suzuki GS 150R (sub 1 lac - 6 speed gearbox)
          4. Yamaha FZ (sub 1 lac - best looker)
          ----------------------------------------
          5. Pulsar 200 NS - speculated < 1 lac

          Happy hunting!!!

            Hunk is a great option

In some test in Overdrive magazine it gave better mileage than Unicorn and CBZ Extreme.

            BTW consider SUZI GSR-150r too

if you are not in hurry and can wait another couple of months...then 200ns seems to be the best option...
if you are ready to put 1 lakh or so...y not get apache 180 abs and invest remaining 12000rs or so in fuel...
its d best bike you can get right now imho...
but if thats not what you are looking for then dazzler and gs 150r suits your bill...

Am getting a mileage of 50-53 kmpl in my hunk driven mostly at a speed between 60-70 km/hr in city conditions.

looking at ur posts i infer that ur inclined towards looks, mileage and comfort. I may be new to this community but i have had experience with hero's products for a long time. They are packed if not al then at least most of the quality you mentioned. Hunk is a superb option and even cbz. Mileage and most important, quality.. They are known for that. Since you mentioned u can increase your budget and go for karizma then do. But do not expect the same mileage. I've been riding a zmr from two years and quality is top notch. If ur not interested in crazy speedy bikes and want mileage and quality then go for hero.. Btw, listen to your heart..

                      Hi vishnurajanme,

if you have planned to go for 150 segment only, go for hunk.
in last more than 2 years, i am riding same bike and completed 35k kilometers.
let me tell you the pros and cons so that you could decide.

                      Cons:
                      1. insufficient headlight at night on highways
                      2. unstablity starts after 90 95 on speedo
                      3. engine heats much more in continuos streach of 100 kms at the speed 60 70. we cant say it as overheat although.
                      4. not much control like yamaha.
                      5. pillion feels backpain in long rides (above 2 3 hrs).

                      Pros:
                      1. nice throttle response.
                      2. gears are not placed close so you can go for powerband in each gear.
                      3. smooth and reliable engine
                      4. good sitting positon even for touring.
                      5. great performacne on offroading. good in innitial. compaired the same with unicorn and i was satisfied with the results.
                      6. good pick up
                      7. very confident while lean.
                      8. good rear gas filled suspentions
IMO, cons 2, 3 and 5 are common in almost all 150s. 1 and 4 could be rectified by installing projectors and good tyres.

                      Happy Hunting

I am about to purchase a new bike. I love pulsars. Used P150 earlier. But suffered a lot from engine problems and mileage problems. So currently looking for getting any bike with minimal maintenance and a mileage above 50Kmpl.
50+kmpl only one bike as far as i can think GS150r.

Don't worry on that dude! Hero has an agreement of using the technology for some more years! mileage also won't be that bad either 50kmpl+/-.
