Here are the steps i will be following now:
1: Check for the sound, with the mech.
2: Adjust AFR screw and idle screw.
3: Shift to 20w40 grade oil.
      4: Check the air filter.

      Is it proper?
Look at the carb from exact opposite side as the IDLE screw (from the left of the bike), there you'll find the AFR screw. Don't worry, mechanics know that. Just ask them to adjust tuning.
And yes, follow these 4 steps you mentioned, you'll definitely feel a difference (positive).

guys, i am planning for some mods:

1: Install an hazard indicator switch.I think it may come handy manytimes.

2: Install an engine kill switch.Probably i guess tvs apache's would be a straight fit.Do i need to change whole wiring for this?

3: HID's without projectors is illegal i guess. Are the normal bulbs(philips, osram etc...) throwing white light is also illegal. If not which is the ideal bulb (white light) for karizma.

        kindly help me with this.....

          Leave the first two points.

Try Philips Extreme Vision 60/55w Halogen, you'll be satisfied. HID's expensive and not required, unless you WANT it.

Hazard will be possible, but engine kill switch would require change of the complete right hand switch+throttle unit, and splicing into your wiring....

Do you get a 'tik-tik' sound while riding? If yes, then tappets need to be adjusted.
Air filter:- change every 8k to 10K kms.
Engine oil:- Change every 2K kms (mineral); 3.5-4k - synthetic

Little bit OT, do you mean the one near Sanjaynagar? I am near that locality and looking for a good mech. If you mean the one near Sanjaynagar then can you please give slightly more specific directions? Thanks!

Did a little snooping around, is it in the lane near Paratha Plaza? Opp Ashwathnagar bus stop? Are they good?

guys,as i had mentioned before, engine sounds a bit rough as it gets heated up.(some 15 odd kms).Mechanic has advised me to change the timing kit.It would cost around 1200 bucks itseems.Shall i go ahead and replace it?
And my bike had fallen off while parked, front suspension is a bit bouncy at low speeds. What might be the problem????
