Fitting engine kill switch is not that a big deal, I guess.
I think a switch connected in series(not parallel) with the original ignition wiring will do the trick !

But a custom fitted switch will look cluttered anyday in a 1L+ priced bike !

Recently I saw a guy who has fixed a Engine Kill Switch in CBZ Xtreme. The engine kill switch comes very handy when we have to wait in signals. How easily it can be fitted in Passion Pro and Splendor Pro, even being the largest selling motor cylces, these bikes miss this useful feature. Will there be any problem in fixing the engine kill switch. Hope this thread will be an useful one for those who desperately want to fix the Engine Kill Switch in their bikes.

Remove the RH-side panel and check if there are two wires which has male-female connectors with black color rubber insulator .
(IIRC ,the wire is blue colored with white stripe.)
(Those wires come from trigger coil and ignition power coil.)

If your passion/splendor has it,then kill switch can be added and it will not turn off the digital meter when the switch is used, only engine stops.

        Hi.

From what I have researched, engine Kill switch cuts off the power to the spark plug only. That's it. The off switch using the bike key disables everything.

The most logical way of using it that I found is :

        1) Turn off heavy power consuming devices off(like headlight).

        2) Either go neutral or clutch-in in a gear(If you bike supports that).

        3) Kill the engine.

        4) Turn the switch back on again. Its easy to start the engine later.

NOTE: Never, never use the first gear, clutch out method to kill the engine(the one that gives the bike a little jerk before the engine stalls). Here the engine is getting stalled, not killed.

They way I turn off my bike after a ride in
          - Put the bike in Neutral
          - turn off Head-lights, then parking lights
          - let it idle for 30secs
          - Kill engine with kill switch
          - turn off everything with the key. (earlier when I had Old Unicorn which didn't have kill switch I'd just come to this step after idling).

I know a lot who don't think idling is required but I do this even with my car. My view is it gives the machine a chance to stabilize. I also idle & let the bike warmup when doing a cold start.
