          hello,
i also own a bjaj XCD125 and did some cool modifications on that includes:-
          -replacing the handle bars.
          -putting broad tubeless tires
-nickel plated steel chain cover (like the plastic ones that comes in new bikes)

i will post the pics soon!
but now i want to do some job for the performance part ( not in an insane manner but to upgarde a bit)
should i go for spark plugs ? or something else plz suggest .

^^ Try a tuned free flow exhaust with up jetting or a slightly bigger carb..
            Should give 5-10% increase
spark plugs wont provide noticeable difference rather than good cold starts..

XCD is a 125 bike hence please dont use K&N filter without upjetting
Maybe you can try a bigger capacity carburettor like Yamaha RX-100/135 along with K&N
It will affect your mileage drastically but increase performance
Secondly dont go for Spitfire/MSD Ignition cables directly

                  Instead do one thing
Check for MSD Ignition coil.maybe it costs around 6000.You have to replace your ignition coil with this MSD ignition coil.
But before that please check whether your CDI and ignition coils are seperate. If CDI and ignition coil are integrated in one unit then there is no use of this mod.
If you have a seperate ignition coil along with CDI then you can go for this mod and then you can go for MSD/Spitfire spark plug cables

Instead of NGK Iridium plugs, try Bosch Iridium plugs. They are cheaper as well as they are good than NGK in terms of heat handling, cold starts and performance.

Please search "N1 Engineering" and call Vinay Balsara /Anant Pithawala on the phone numbers given on their website.
These people will guide you in bike performance increasing. You can get MSD products from them

You can go for Xenon bulbs for lighting
And also as suggested earlier you can go for bigger tyres and changing the alloys.try to check whether Pulsar 150/Discover 135 alloy wheels are same in length. If yes then you can try them

                  Last but not least

Instead of doing all this modifications and spending you can do this thing

Sell of this XCD and add 30,000 or somewhat more in that amount that you are ready to spend.
YOU WILL GET GOOD 150 CC BIKE
                  like Yamaha FZ/Suzuki GS 150 R
You will get almost all the things you need like wider tyres for stability, performance, smoothness, good torque and sixth gear(GS-150R)

                  Think

I currently ride Bajaj Xcd 125 (19000km). Now i want to modify it (engine and body).
I stay in NCR. Please guys by giving me ideas for it and a good place where i can modify it.
                    Thanks
                    Hey Prat,

The XCD is a good bike and it doesn't need modifications as it is meant for commuting purposes only. The engine is meant for city rides and doing high speeds on this engine continuosly will only hamper the performance and burn more fuel and heat up resulting in engine seize.. better upgrade to a bigger bike if you are looking for performance.
