      best battery brand

i didnt have good experience with amaron battery. The battery gave way within a month.. It was a dry maintenance free battery. Though it was replaced with another one easily. All battery manufacturers are playing with the warranty thing and nearly all are getting kaput near their expiry date. I would haveto buy a battery now, i would go for the costliest battery with more than 5 year warranty.. Its like pay more get more. Go for amaron if you dont plan to leave your place for six months.. If it runs for six months it will easily cross its warranty. Amarons car/inverter batteries are the best value for money.. Their bike batteries are based on your luck.. But they also know it and are extremly promt in replacing them.

I just changed to TATA Green on my P135. i took the que from Yamaha, they put tata green by default in their bikes. I am very happy with my decision its a very good battery (its been 2 weeks since i installed it). I know the duration is less but if you know P135 has alow bat indicator prop.

Ppl at bajaj wanted to add a little bling factor to the bike so they put an indicator that keeps blinking as long as the ignition is on (many p135 have low battery beeping on dials for no reason) Tata green manages to beat it at times.

Also it charges fast. While u r on this thread please note Ah reading (5Ah -- or --9Ah). Refer to some tech sites to understand the real difference.

Use amaron because they are the best. My joy has a amaron battery when they first launched in orissa and it has been 3.5 years and there is no problem. Never once i have looked at the battery and by 3.5 years i mean 80k kms ( my running is very high). There alpha series have 5 years warranty(2.5 years guarantee- free replacement and next 2.5 years warranty - discount on new battery proportional to the month of usage).

                regarding battery

we run a battery shop for automotive and ups

battery is a matter of pure luck when it comes to life and longevity( its true )

when ever a battery comes for replacement either the user installed real big horrns or the battery become dead by itself

its true for all the battery brands (warranty plays a important role in battery business)

it is better to go for a battery with longest warranty period.

if u use a battery for big horns better remove the horns before going for warranty claim!!!!

                  Exide has good service availability

I have seen very good availability of the Exide service centers as a good note.

But my TBTS has a bigger battery then other bikes and it started giving me trouble in 2 years, many times it will not sustain the full power, sometimes it will not get recharged....after so many checks I got it replaced with 2 cells failed in the earlier one and it made a mess of the battery compartment with some white chemical sediments which even dropped on the engine outer parts.

I tried Exide again as in Amaron I did not get the specification at that time and was urgent. Heard that Amarons have good life and reliability.

Has to be Exide. 3 years on... and the stock battery that came with my 220 DTsi is still going strong.

Amaron. Once upon a time, long long ago, so long ago.. Exide. ZMR still on stock Exide, I will upgrade anytime. Absolutely no faith in Exide these days, err past few years.

Batteries are a trick thing. If maintained properly yeah they last long but ignored puff they are gone. I had exide battery as stock in my 2002 pulsar. I used to regularly top up with distilled water and even checked the charge regularly. It lasted for for almost 3 years and may be more but i changed for a bigger battery went in for AMCO Yuasa (2006). It was a good battery never gave me a problem.

Same scenario with my activa. Had Exide as stock battery lasted for 4 years but died soon after(My fault though, Lazy to open the front and top it up and moreover it is my wife's scooter). Went in for Amaron maintenance free. No problem for 3 years and still going strong.

But to my shock, My yamaha FZ-S came with a minda battery . Horrible battery I would say. I took great care of the battery but still it died in 1 year. I just blindly went in for Amaron seeing the performance in my wife's scooter.

And believe me I would suggest Amaron any day. Not even a single hiccup with starting and starts with ease. So going for Amaron is the right choice.

I'm currenty using Amaron, which i got changed from the older one few months ago. Even from the first few days as a new battery, it gave me a trouble in starting the vehicle with ignition button. I don't know why, but i am required to kick start the vehicles everyday while i start the vehicle for the first time.
