  • Twin Headlight on Yamaha Fazer...

hey guys...bought a Yamaha FAZER 153cc 2 weeks ago...It has twin headlights, one as high and other as low beam...so only 1 works at a time...i wanted both of them to work together in high beam,,,the low beam can be spared though...can i do this without violating the warranty???

    Query Approved.

This is perhaps one of the biggest minus points of the Fazer, for me, that the beautiful twin headlight DOES NOT work together (either in high or low beam). But, I guess there MUST be some work-around.

But jokes apart, a simple wire connecting the sockets can do the trick. But how is the battery gonna take the load of two halogen?

What's the bulb rating of Fazer?

I am sure its possible to get both lights on at same time, as I saw 2-3 Fazers with both lights ON .

Dont know whay Yamaha did made it that way.

the battery will drain faster than you'll realise.

It all begins with a thumb-start -- Oh, wait, I forgot the kill-switch

Well...I got it modified from an experienced mechanic of a car accessories shop. It took almost an hour to get it done. Frankly speaking I don't feel that it makes any difference to the battery life (as if now). All those suggesting MID POSITION of switch...please don't make such kind of suggestion..as it can lead to damage of the switch.

My bike is more than one month old now..and up till now I haven't faced any issues because of the modifications. As far as technique is concerned I am not aware of it..its a hack of wiring rest the mechanic knows better

                            cheers..
