NO mate...I don't have any idea about it..whether it voids the warrenty or not. Logically thinking.no matter from wherever you get the hack done it has to be against the default settings. So it may void the warranty.

It seem there are quiet lot of Xbhpians from GCC.

Does the battery have enough charge even in bumper to bumper traffic at night? If both the headlights can run for a long time during night time city rides wherein traffic is high and you cannot rev past 3 or 4k rpm then the mod is gr8 and all fazer owners can go for it.Originally posted by RahulSingh View PostWell...I got it modified from an experienced mechanic of a car accessories shop. It took almost an hour to get it done. Frankly speaking I don't feel that it makes any difference to the battery life (as if now). All those suggesting MID POSITION of switch...please don't make such kind of suggestion..as it can lead to damage of the switch.
My bike is more than one month old now..and up till now I haven't faced any issues because of the modifications. As far as technique is concerned I am not aware of it..its a hack of wiring rest the mechanic knows better
cheers..

I got my Fazer serviced last week, and the Service centre person (their supervisor or something) actually asked me if I'd like to pay Rs. 170 and get the wiring done to light up both bulbs! It was the Panache Enterprises SVC at Old Madras Road, Bangalore. I didn't get it done because I didn't want to mess with the machine so soon! But, at least the other B'loreans may want to try.Originally posted by adarsh1398 View Posti got my bike serviced last week...talked to the techie at the dealer about the headlight,he simply denies to do any such modifications...says voids warranty...anyone else talked to any dealer???

AFAIK No electrical parts come under warranty to any bike. So no matter whether u do electrical mods or not. Only risk is, you may lose warranty on battery.Originally posted by adarsh1398 View Posti got my bike serviced last week...talked to the techie at the dealer about the headlight,he simply denies to do any such modifications...says voids warranty...anyone else talked to any dealer???
To make both the lights glow, its more or less similar to what Rahul has done on his P220. Check this P220 Twin Beam.

AFAIK Some does. To an extent the wiring, Digital Meter, Led taillights. In Pulsars BCU and if the SVC center wants to act stupid than Stator Coil, Starter Relay etc warranty can also get void.Originally posted by Shreeni0403 View PostAFAIK No electrical parts come under warranty to any bike. Whatever you do, make the mod reversible, ie: you should be able to come to stock whenever needed.Been There, Done That; Better!

Thats a simple job Adarsh. I did it on my own within a week of buying my R15. No, it does not void ur warranty in any way. Just open ur fairing, and add the cable for the lo - beam to both bulbs. A simple 10 minutes job man. If u open ur fairing and see the socket on both bulbs, u will understand!Originally posted by adarsh1398 View Posthey guys...bought a Yamaha FAZER 153cc 2 weeks ago

...It has twin headlights, one as high and other as low beam...so only 1 works at a time

...i wanted both of them to work together in high beam,,,the low beam can be spared though...can i do this without violating the warranty???
any suggestions???

And no the battery load does not increase by much in any way.

Monarch yamaha - Pune
The guy told me that 2 accesories r gonna come for the fazer.. in some time.. max about a month..
1) Cut-outs by yamaha for making both headlights work
2) Kick for FZ/FZs/Fazer.......

@perestroika: Everyone here is wondering about getting the 2 lamps to work together. Since the example in your avatar pic has both lights on simultaneously could you shed some, er.. light on the same please?10 Commandments:

heehe..oh! alright. I guess, the best option is to get it done by a trusted mech and fit a relay if you all are worrying about switches getting ruined.10 Commandments:

I went to the Yamaha Factory Shop in pune..
For the fazer he told me that if we pay an extra of Rs.2000/- he will change the current battary to mantainance free one with higher capacty..
N he said warranty wont lapse.... then he ll turn on both the lights... with no problems!!
Is there any other way "cheaper" to get both lights working???
