old battery was mistakenly fallen in the drawer, i think my dad must have put it in, all the acid inside it spilled, my entire things including my leather gloves and my scientific calculator are spoiled...
thank god i kept my dsg primal gloves in the other drawer 2 days back..

I'll put my friend's 9 amp battery, if it works well I'll slam my battery on the dealer's head...

this is where relay comes in..
connect the low beam wire to the high beam wire below the relay and your done...
the low beam gets current from the relay, if the current is passed on the wire and not from the main connection, the relay end mismatches, so it doesn't light up that high beam wire during low beam..

i dunno how to explain this, maybe sajit would help you understand better...

okay i did all the necessary testing...
with the amaron 9 amp batt

voltage with engine off ---- 11.3
voltage with engine on at idle ---- 11.4
voltage at 2k rpm ---- 11.4
voltage at 3k rpm ---- 11.4
voltage at 4k rpm ---- 11.5
voltage at 5k rpm ---- 11.5
voltage at 6k rpm ---- 11.5
voltage at 7k rpm ---- 11.5
voltage at 8k rpm ---- 11.6

so it was clear again that battery is responding as before..

now what i did was remove the battery and check the coil output without the battery as i did before and got 45-47 volts..
i wanted to see what i get now...
i started the bike and at idle got 10 volts..
at higher revs i got 90 volts

guess what!! my neutral bulb blew off i think as it doesn't glow after that moment
that was the only ON electrical on the bike..
strangely my horn doesn't work too..
maybe i blew it too
i wonder how can that happen as i never touched my horn...

any ways rest all the electricals are fine..
i straight away headed to the battery guy..
again these low value people started arguing as this doesn't happen...
your charger is spoilt (they meant rr)
all these were the guys hired by the shop owner when he was away..

he was off somewhere in his fortuner...

finally the boss arrived (nice guy) and he didn't speak Sh#$ straight away pulled a brand new battery and gave it to me, taking my old one..

spoke to me well, said if any such thing happens again come back here and so and so .....

happily i connected the battery and checked it there itself..

the readings were as follows..


voltage with engine off ---- 12.4
voltage with engine on at idle ---- 12.6
voltage at 2k rpm ---- 12.8
voltage at 3k rpm ---- 13.0
voltage at 4k rpm ---- 13.1
voltage at 5k rpm ---- 13.5
voltage at 6k rpm ---- 13.6
voltage at 7k rpm ---- 13.7
voltage at 8k rpm ---- 13.8

i came back..
tried my friend's exide 9 amp battery
everything was almost same except it reached 14.2 at higher revs...

while returning the road was dry, and i think it was the first time that my hid did turned yellow completely...

the light is nothing like I've ever seen before...
it glows to sooo much brightness that people literally turned around and were looking as what's that...
oncoming traffic would have never given so much respect to a fiero..

all this with low beam only..

forget the holes inside the projector, what comes out through the lens is tooo much...

I'm very very happy..

as soon as i reached home, i quickly grabbed my camera and headed to a good dark road as the roads were dry today..
as soon as i came back down, heavy rainfall
so I've postponed pics for later...

guys, how do you live with soo much light, i do get embarassed by all these people trying to see what's coming, i find it uncomfortable to be a center of attraction, even for truckies...

so my tip paid off ,both of then.....
1. rewind the coil
2.break the battery on delear s head...

Rewinding the coil again wasn't required at all .
90v seems tooo high to me but thats without load, so no worries
Good now u can get replacement whenever u go there

@shree,well dear,the coil rewinding was req because the voltage drop while load was too much,also the low end ampere output was not upto the mark.hope you understand.

Thats dual HID tube within one bulb base, one hid for each beam with 2 ballasts.

Sajan - How can you be wrong But the one I got doesn't have glare shield. And this was the only option I found to power up twin beams together on my ZMR.

H3 means single filament, it can't have dual.

i know that that's why i was asking is it available in h3 size or can we get a dual beam whose diameter is as small as that of h3??

i rode today for an hour in traffic....
no light issues, neither battery issues..
I've never been so happier even before in life...


guys, today some cops stopped me, it was around 5:30 in the evening and it was day...
as soon as they stopped me, they were looking at my headlight, everyone (3-4 of them)
i thought they stopped me for my headlight '

but they asked the license, reg and insurance, bla bla ...
after everything was okay, later they asked me regarding headlight..

they were pretty much interested in knowing as what this squint eyes do exactly...
i switched it on and showed them...
both the beams...
in a friendly and exited manner, they were happy to see, in fact they asked 2-3 more cops who were stopping other vehicles to come by and see...

i never faced and negations, they were happy to know what i did, because they had never seen such a thing on a motorcycle...
besides i even asked them in that friendly manner as why did you stop so many people, and he said that some guys on a motorbike jumped the signal almost 10 kms away and they are expecting them to come by

i wonder how much the government works on 2 guys who jump a signal, besides all big problems which should be handled by cops are left idle...

I'm satisfied now as no more cop trouble i hope,
maybe coz its 4300k...

as many people told me it isn't, and i never gave a s@$t to their word..

I think using HIDs inside projectors is legal as the Skoda Laura comes with preinstalled HIDs in projectors

@shreeni - why didnt you go for the moving h4 type ?that would have been cheaper and better . nowdays these arent even available in market .

HID's inside projectors are completely street legal. Provided you have not removed the glare shield from the projector

I am having even that HID. In that you can either use low or high but how will you use both if you want ?? The dual tubes aren't available in market but I am having Thanks to Navnish.

So wanna screw the whole thing in front of u without the glare shield. I think it will create a hell lot of glares than ur first one. How much was the damage?
