  • HOLY MOLY!!!.
NAVNISH once mentioned about this dual tube fitting once but never really interested in this.
there will be sooooooo much ligh and spread will be boooom!!from low beam to high beam ,it will cover all and some more.
damn, zmr is havin a good quality reflector unit so it will be able to take the laod+heat.
\i think low beam on+/- hi beam is that the setup it will work shree?flasing will be a problem i must say,a bixenon is a better option only in respect to night time dim/dipper situations, but apart from that, holycow,it will be good.

light maniac hein sajju bhai?.i just wanted to see just like a car ,ok bit better then a car but shree, omg,he will gonna burn everything in front.

@shree please put up a stiker on the zmr saying"This vehical is capable of producing some mind blowing and eye melting performance, please use appropiate safty gears before even thinking to see it in action".

    • Well

After using HID in Unicorn, am not that addicted to flashing. So not a problem. Again with the twin tube also I can flash, only thing is both filaments will glow.
But to avoid that I will keep a switch in between low and high so I can turn both together only when I need, not always.
To use this setup in city, thinking to get the headlight glass smoked black or is there any solution.?

@Nano - Sorry bro if I am hijacking your thread. You want me to start a new thread or can i continue here?

I will be using the stock reflectors, I am not a fan of projector anymore (As I don't want to do some juggad and make my new bike look shabby )

Don't you think, I told you to swap to HID for High beam also But 1 thing, you will have to sacrifice your habit of using pass light.

Regarding your light getting brighter day by day, please do check the charging volts. It is very much necessary to keep an eye on that if u feel something is go wrong. Its for precaution. Anyday precaution is better than cure, right ??

Putting HID on High beams is blinding others and waste of money IMO. Most of the time I must say that 99% I'll be using low beam only. Infact that is my practice even with a 35W halo. I use the HB for flashing in night, in day time I use the spots for the same. I just use it for reminding these care less drivers that am nothing short of it.

I don't know how u guys are using it, but think of it before u being a high beam rider. Some times I really want to break the opposite high beam drivers head for using it without any responsibility. A$$.... nothing more to call these morons.

Shree I don't want to spoil ur enthusiasm, may be its more useful on touring. All I want to convey is use it judiciously.

Well bro, I agree that low beams are sufficient for city rides. But when it comes to high speed cruising on high ways, I will definitely need distant vision + close vision. And I don't want to compromise on anything.

If I can source a spare headlight unit of the ZMR then probably I might work on it for the Projector setup. Until then I will stick to stock reflector. As I said, I don't want my bike to look bad. And I don't ve an option to mount anything on crash guard. The only option was the Dual HID !!

                  • i agree with shree.
that you need hid for high too at highways at speed..
if i cruise on the highways at 80 or above, the cut off seems very very short..
the thing is that our retina gets used to the light below the cutoff, so above cut off it seems more darker than it actually is..
i nearly missed a huge pothole today as it was visible only when in entered my hid zone, i was cursing arr 90 and hitting it would have been fatal, so i do need an equally powerful high beam also..
i did keep both the beams on later that incident, but to be honest its nothing in front of hid...
it hardly makes a difference as the retina is used to what it sees near..

as far as flashing is concerned, i already have gave up that habit as the diode is still not made...
one never needs a high beam in city, as roads are well lit, besides if high beam is a problem for others of which even i am a victim, so i will use it only on the highways...

                    imagine this,
if i enter a pitch dark hilly area, with twisty roads, a cutoff would be a big problem, as long distance view is null..
i had a near miss today, maybe i won't be that reactive, alert or lucky tomorrow..

we have 8 lane highways here, so oncoming vehicles are very far away from the sight as the other side of the road is well spaced...

besides, if i use this halo/hid combo battery consumed by that 55w high beam is higher, totally getting into arr 100w..

both hid's will make it brighter and also less power consuming i think, (correct me if i am wrong)
if hilly areas and high speed runs on highways is concerned a well defined and equally powerful high beam is necessary, its okay to give up flashing..
                    something for something..
Giving a lot to a fiero.

A friend of mine is using a 65watt Halogen on his FZ without any issues at all. The bike also has roots windtone twin horn. Still no battery issues. But 100 may overload. Your headlight reflector too will get fried.

AFAIK the lens is designed for the heat of HID. And 100w heat is damn high. Forget the battery part, you lens will go for a toss first along with battery. Lens and Battery will be doing party in hell

                            • That amounts to Rs 750 just for the headlight.
