    increase power and performance of my pulsar 220 dtsi

    i own a pulsar 220 dtsi i bought recently i has done only 3000 kms and 3 services everything is going great but i want to increase its power so plz tell me
    the modifications i should do to increase its power and performance plz include everything from air filter to exhaust to spark plugs etc etc etc and plz tell its model number also is available plz check that it is suitable for bike and will not have any sideeffects as i love my bike and my budget is 10k to 15k

    and please dont worry about the warranty the bajaj people dont care about our bikes this is my own experience and not surprisingly sum other people too if you dont agree read this

      You can do a lot of things!!

      But I guess since your bike is still very new it should be under warranty.
      Any such modifications will void your warranty.

          ^Are you able to fully exploit the STOCK motorcycle's potential?
          ^^What riding gears do you have?(in case you don't have, it would be worthwhile to invest in some, road rashes hurt pretty hard, i tell you)

          p.s--no need to pay heed to my words, they are pretty lame anyways

            first of all you tell us, whether you want to increase acceleration (Pick-Up) or top end (top speed)? then only detailed procedure can be chalked out.

                i have a sparx helmet s-07 ,dsg moto mesh,cramster knee and elbow protector

                iam soon going to buy a joe rocket jacket

                  the manufacturer's build the motorcycle in such a way that maximum performance is achieved w/o compromising reliability,
                  you can play with the sprockets(others members shall point out exactly what is needed/required) to get better acceleration along with fitting an after market filter along with re-sized jets,
                  how ever for a complete performance gain Joel is bringing up something good(i hope) for P-220.

                      you can use
                      • K & N Air Filter
                      • Increase the Jet size, use bigger size jets
                      • simplest is use a different rear sprocket - for increased pick -up use a sprocket with 2-4 teeths less than normal but it will decrease the top speed.
                      • u can bore the engine to a bigger size and use bigger size piston, this wil increase petrol consumption.
                      • a very trouble some modification may be supercharging it.

                              thats why i said troublesome modification. but its possible.

                              u can change spark plugs to NGK iridium, change spark plug cables also. but these things won't increase the performance.
