@Thread Starter: If you love your bike and want to own it for a long time, stick to stock. Pulsar's never fare well in the long term with mods. Heed my words or else you can go ahead and kill your bike!

EDIT: Or alteast wait for the engine to settle in and complete atleast about 10K kms then think about what you want to with the bike.

      Buddy,
my suggestion is, please waite for atleast 6k on the odo, then if you modify, you can enjoy it for long. Otherwise, it can have a bad effect on your machine.
      Move on.........

the pulsar 220 has already been designed to give out maximum performance possible. The upjetting of carburetter would not help as already the bike comes with the biggest carburetter (personal opinion).

The exhaust can be modded but if any cop will catch you then there might be a hole in you pocket. The changing of the rear sprocket would increase your acceleration but your top speed will decrease.Your bike's title may change to second fastest indian. You can rebore the engine but the warranty would be gone & your bike's reliability might be less than half.

Better to keep the engine as it is in stock if you love your bike & want it to be having a long life. Already your bike is the fastest indian & what else do you want?? You can do the modifications if there is even more faster bike in competition.
NOT BEEN THERE NOT DONE THAT

Your bike is really great and you will regret modifying it one day. Instead why dont you just get another used bike for cheap and play with it. You can modify that bike instead of spending money on the pulsar and for weekends you can just rip the hell out of the used bike and keep your sparkling 220 safely at home...If you want pure acceleration, look in the 2stroke department:yamaha or suzuki. This is just my opinion even though it might not be considered...

                Upgrade to softer/stickier tires,
it should help you to exploit the motorcycle's performance a wee bit more

Supercharger is a forced air induction device which pumps in compressed air to the intake manifold and hence compression ratio increases greatly. Which directly means there's more air to burn the fuel in , therefore increase the supply of fuel as well, which results in direct gain in power. (more air + more fuel = more power)

A supercharger is normally bolted on the engine itself and takes power from the crankshaft itself. The crankshaft turns the rotors inside the supercharger which in turn will compress the air being fed into the engine.

Also supercharger isnt exactly some tiny device that can be bolted on without mods. There's a supercharged fiero thread on xbhp where a custom built supercharger was bolted onto the fiero's engine (200cc modded engine)

Power difference would be significant , far better than any other mod you can do. However superchargers are not found on bikes cause they do take up space. Most of the bike engines are normally aspirated engines without any turbocharger or supercharger assistance. However supercharging will be much more significant on higher displacement engines.

So unless you can make your own supercharger, just forget about it.

i know there are super chargers/ turbo's for cars but for bike.... thats cool news for me. im going to try and look for that fiero. is it worth it and how much would it cost??? 10k + ?????

they help to put the power down in a better manner, you can sort out your riding and your motorcycle's handling by fitting softer/gripper tires

Well dunno about the costs but you might have to sacrifice a bike no pain no gain
