    Dear brother ,
I'm glad to hear the 127 mark. Impressive but I'm in huge dilemma here. First anything above 155cc is illegal in our country so even if I successfully mod and enjoy my bike for a year or two I won't be able to sell it cuz of higher cubic capacity of the cylinder. Even some dude may buy it but if he get caught he would say I didn't inform him about the mod. Things happened like that in the past for other fellow here. Now brother , in general my bike give 122 top and 0-100 within 18 -19 seconds ( I'm only 64 kg and not very tall maybe that's why
Anyways I plan to sell the bike for 140k ( here New is 200k Bangladeshi taka + regi 25k ) and have saved 100k . so In have total 240k With which I can get AS150 brand new ( roughly rs 20600 rupee) yes the tax is that high :'(
Or maybe an softly used R15 . I will update what I finally would do... Thanks for the suppor thought bro.

If you save ur 150 cc parts now you can revert back to 150cc while selling, anyhow if you are planning to purchase new bike that is relatively better. All the best.

Also, can someone tell by looking at it from outside that the cylinder is 200cc and not 150cc anymore?

When I spoke to a Bajaj guy over the phone regarding the price of cylinder kit, I had asked him if I could use 180cc kit, he said it could be done but would not improve performance at all. I could not understand why he said so. But I did not want to piss him off by asking any more questions.

I think legal issues can be taken care off later, for now I just need the technical/monetary aspects of such modification and what is the success rate I should expect. I would not want it to come out a pudding after spending a lot of money. I would rather sell this one off and buy something better after some time. I have another bike anyway which serves me well.
HI, I am here using pulsar 150 ug4. Time to rebore now as there is some tik tik sound and perfomance lose in the engine. As i checked with the mechanic he suggested me to rebore and rebuild the engine. Now here i have a doubt that if i rebore the performacne will be better or replacing with the new cylinder kit with valve will do so. Please help

Re: Pulsar 150 - Rebore or new kit (180cc)?

I just completed the upgrade of my 2005 Pulsar DTSI UG II into 180. I used Pulsar 180's block piston & head. Initially i kept the carburetor of 150 (BS26) however the engine struggled for air at higher rev, so I upgraded the carburetor to pulsar 180's BS29. As of now the modded machine runs excellently. I thank xbhp members from this thread for their valuable inputs that I refereed during this modification. The only thing remaining now is to change the aluminium manifold (connected to carburetor insert) that is attached on engine.

Hi Tushar I have some queries did u only change head and bore of the engine coz the crank rod is different in 180 so how did 180 bore fit and regarding clutch how many plates did u use is it the 150 setup or 180

Both of them have the same stroke length. the reason why one finds the classic P180 having more torque is this reason and another reason is the classic 180 gearbox which is out of the scope of this thread. It all comes down to this. P180 has a bigger piston than the P150.

So yes, You plonk in the P180 classic bore+piston kit, you get all the torque from the 180 but if u need the extra speed it does, you would need the gearbox of the 180 .
The Piston Pin hole is bigger in case of 180. Con-Rod needs change. Valves are bigger. Need Head upgrade as well.

Updates: I managed to get the carb manifold JC120017. The updated configuration was -- 150 UG2 Crank+180 UG2 Con Rod+ 180 UG2 Cylinder Piston + 200 classic Head. I noticed that 150 (57X56.4), 180(63.5x56.4), 200(67X56.4) all have same stroke length. So I again updated the whole configuration to 150 UG2 crank+ 180 UG2 Con Rod+ 200 classic Cylinder Piston + 200 classic Head. Absolutely works fine. Pulsar 200 Block has an oil circulation outlet & Pipe that goes back into crank. I closed that hole with a bolt and its not in use.

Piston side hole of con rod is bigger. Con Rod needs change. I am running Pulsar UG 2 Stock clutch setup (5 Plates).
