How is it? Its pretty awesome, shaft drive is from honda goldwing gl1800, hidden rear suspension, low seat hight 26inches. And burning out a 225/45 eagle f1 with 3 times the contact area of 200mm motorcycle tyre is effortless.
Amazing.. how much did it cost to build it??

Bike as such did not cost much, but I had to set up almost whole shop just to build one, so it was kind off expensive.
Bike I believe would cost 2-3lc I guess.
Honda shaft drive system was imported and costed about 60k for good condition used part.
Rest all the system were designed inhouse, I struggld with sheet metal body panels since body fab require different set of skills and I did all the work using a hammer and I am no good at TIG welding.

Also since I am using Final drive from a powerful motorcycle , and I use stock gearbox (whatever gearbox is suppose to be coupled onto that engine in its car avatar) and stock clutch (Unlike other Car engined based motorcycles) , A much more powerful motorcycle such as a V-6 or v-8 is with 250-300bhp is not a major problem with this concept.
Someday I will make myself one .

It looks to me like you have used a RE Chasis and gearbox ??
            Thanks.
NO I have not used RE chassis, or any part of it. RE frame is hardly good for its own engine.
Entire Frame was made ground up using DOM tubing and Imported JD Squared bender.
Even the Steering head, Triple tree are custom made. It does not use conventional ball and cone setup for steering.

ANd it does not use RE Gearbox or any other motorcycle gearbox , that is what sets it apart from other Car engined motorcycles.
I am using OEM Maruti Zen gearbox (without the Differential) and OEM zen clutch.
Since the differential has been taken out , I have my own design for final reduction before power is fed to Goldwing shaft drive.
OEM gearbox had almost 1:3.8 reduction , whereas My design has 1:1.12 reduction.
nearly 1:1 reduction was required in gearbox as , goldwing final drive already has 1:2.8 reduction on the wheel.
If i had taken out put from differential , the motorcycle would have had massive overall reduction ratio like a tractor but would do 1/4th top speed in top gear.
It would become a bulldoser not a motorcycle.

FE is similar to car, not a major difference, and since it was a used engine , 19-20kmpl is wht it gives usually. Power is almost stock, although little head and intake work was done, i believe it is between 60-65bhp now. Actual Tested top speed is 148kmph, the bike could go to 170-175kmph if required. Absolutely comfortable speed was in line of 100-115kmph.
Gear pattern has been converted to sequential shift with N coming between 2-3. Basically I copied a sequential shifter design.

How did you design the chasis ? and did you test it ?

I am in auto industry , designing parts for a living.
Also chassis design for a motorcycle is not as tough as it would seem to be. Make a basic frame which use the engine as stressed member,at front end get yourself a steering head and rear end make provision for swing arm.
I follow simple approach of using engine as stressed member, which in turn provides rigidity to frame. I dont think there would be many things in motorcycle world stiffer and rigid than 12inches width of an engine block.

Rest everything is then added on as required basis.

As far as testing goes, I wonder why people do not ask this question to custom bike builders in UK and USA?
Isnt it quite obvious that i would not have fancy test facilities at home, moreover what can be better than real world use as a test

Before making the frame, it is calculated what sort of joints and and material thickness is needed for intended use.
I putin some some factor of safety to calculations and then I never doubt if its gonna work or not.
I am still 6feet above the ground , so everything works damn fine Isuppose.

pretty smooth for you then .............but.......being in auto industry you must be have heard of analysis software, say Ansys ............. I was only curious to know that to what extent did you confirmed the goodness of the chasis before actually fabricating it

                  Warm Regards,

I am aware of ansys, also did a bit of crash couses long time back, but have only used catia for drawings not analysis that to just one or two parts,. Software just a waste of time when you have to build just one ride and not a mass product.
Its just a hobby, nothing serious
When every things is in head of the person who actually is going to fabricate it, drawings and analysis not needed.
