          • @Aryan: Hehe that was the max zoom with which the Macro was possible.
But here's a direct crop of the bug from an 8mp image, for you .
So the bug was like 2-3 mm width!

Looks more like Close Encounters of The Third Kind.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

                        • @Praful: That jeep and sunlight picture is good. I personally liked it. As for the macros, try and get closer and shoot it from a different perspective than the cliched one.
                          :)

Thank Aryan, the Jeep pic just happened, I was hanging out of another jeep and clicked, it just happened to come out like that

Well, about the macros...any closer and the cam could'nt focus...its a P&S after all

And different perspective, would mean? Layman here...

                              • @Praful: See, shots that "just happen" come out so good.. Well, with perspective, what I meant was try and shoot from a different angle. The composition is important.

I know macros doesn't quite allow us to be THAT creative as there is not much one can do with respect to the subject that we shoot, but still we can always work on it. Get closer and shoot. I don't have any idea about the Sony DSC cameras, but on my digital camera (the Canon Powershot S3 IS), it has a 'super macro' mode which gets me as close to the subject as I want. The lens, at times touches the subject but it still focuses, which is amazing really..

Inspite of getting the 100mm dedicated macro lens, I am still in love with my S3, which I extensively use for close up shots..
                                :)
