I wouldn't even know what do with the hasselblad if ever I got to use it! For the time being though, I am still "learning" the 400D..

@devils doom: Pardon SP's wicked humour! As for the "how", well, I used my S3 IS to shoot the picture; 12x optical zoom coupled with decent digital zoom and some cropping did the trick! Try it out sometime - shooting the moon is real fun..

                  • @anvancy: ^^ Loved the picture.. Darn! Again, a macro.. I wonder why I seem to not like anything as much as macros..

One query - Do you use flash as well while using the Raynox? How close are you generally, to the subject while shooting with the Raynox on?
                    :)

it really depends.i dont use flash all the time.if the light is enough..flash is not needed.but if i want to freeze the action before the subject flies away then its needed.

the 150 keeps adequate distance.the 250 somewhat less distance.the stacked very small distance.

speaking of eyes..taking them at atmost close range is difficult.(ie of self)

                      distance should be correct.

                          • I am nowhere close to the pros here, but here's a few pics I took this weekend.
God!! How I wish I could take pictures that are even in the same zip code as Anvancy and the others out here. Anyway, here goes..

I love Orcas. Question for the pros. How can I take better action shots with a regular (non SLR) camera? The first 2 shots below could have been so much better. I have a Cybershot DSC-H10.

                            • @Vivek: The first two shots are "action" shots; freezing the moment is what it is all about, so use "shutter priority" mode, if possible and increase the shutter please. The aperture would be taken care of by the camera. That way the action would be freezed.

                              My two cents.
