DOF on the other hand is a totally different thing.. its the depth of the area (both in front of and behind your point of focus) that will be in focus. DOF increases as you lower the aperture.
@mG1, I'm sure you must be well versed with all this, however, i chose to clarify here for the many upcoming photographers among us who refer to this thread









slightly confused. Or do you need to focus on different areas in different images then you stack and eliminate the bokeh?
