The gloves have been through a little over 8k kms so far, no noticeable damage of any sort, even had a small slide while having these on.

    Will post pictures shortly.

I have not been able to reconfirm the water resistance that I had commented on but I stand by my opinion, as I did use these through some fairly heavy rains while riding alongside fellow xBhpians and still didn't have the soaking issue.

Every single brand at this price point can only use polycarbonate moulded knuckle protection with carbon fibre finish. Genuine carbon fibre knuckles alone would cost more than the gloves. However, fret not since PC is more than adequate for the job, and does not require CF.
Also note the Spartan site says "Carbon-fibre finished knuckle protection".

@xpranav Nice review as well, I'm skeptical about that pair of gloves as they have Velcro straps. How large are your hands, I notice on the website that they don't have S size. My hands are small and I'm afraid they will fit loose on my hands, like what happened with @payeng
I wear XL size ones ........... those velcro are industry grade ones and are very abrasive in nature and made for a long duty life. I say so after having a confirmation from Sunny sir.

Thanks chaos bhai .......... and that signature was indeed one point to poke him

Yes they do ........... I have blogged my post indicating the purchase of Ares, you may see. Trust me, they look adorable and way too safe.

You can post your query on the following thread, it's a dedicated riding gear thread:

Your options in full leather for tht price point are: DSG Primal, Rynox Kombat, Spartan Centaur, Rjays Canyon

    It isn't real carbon fibre.

re: SPARTAN GLOVES: Review and Experiences

Way back during my early biking days, i started with Knighthood Gloves (I don't know how many of you know about this brand, neither am i complaining ). Sole reason was they were well within my pocket money budget and of course they did provide what i call OKEY DOKEY protection . As my rides started getting faster, it would had been mindless to trade my skin for these below average gloves. Time for upgrade. Though there wasn't any significant boost to my $$$, tried to look for something that fares better then my EX-Gloves . After a day of searching, i found Pro-Grip riding gloves. Looked very neat (Not the ones that have fake carbon fibre padding. This one was a full matte black finish) and was a perfect fit for my lengthy fingers . Sorry for not having any pics . Eventually i noticed they are very short lived. Especially the left since its used for gear changing . But it did play its part by saving my palm real good when i crashed on my then ride Suzuki Shogun . Decided to move on and settled for SCYCO, which is my current use for daily commute and weekend rides. With my new baby capable of topping 170+, i need an upgrade for which i need your help brothers. I have seen Astars but they are really expensive (starts from 3.5K onwards !!!). What are my other options???... (I do not prefer leather). My budget is 3K max.
