    Hello Madmax,

We understand your anxiety in not physically receiving the boots within the an anticipated time frame, but the charge of not receiving communications and updates is a bit out of sync, given the following mailtrail with us:

    QUOTE:

    Dear Aruna,

First Flight, tracking number W 12411603.
They say that there was a delay due to New Year, and it will be delivered today

You will notice that the boots were despatched and reached Hyderabad within 14 days (by 30th Dec). If there are some logistical issues with delivery, while we are in touch with them to expedite the process, it would be a great help if you also chase them in Hyderabad.

    Horrible experience with Orazo

    Hello all,

Thought of sharing one pathetic buying experience from orazo (::Orazo::), the much acclaimed riding boots wit ha reasonable price tag.

I have read few [posts on Xbhp where in few senior members have used the orazo boots and lately xbhp have been associated with them too as orazo have been sponsoring few events like (Best blogger, Ducati ride etc)

    Hi GP-Freak,

Can you post the address of the store in Mumbai. Are such shoes available in certain areas of Mumbai ? I am planning a visit coming Sunday and would like to know the places where i can get around 6 to 8" high ankle shoes, primarily for bullet riding. Would be great ful, if you can post the address/area of such shops. Will they be open on Sunday ?

Guys, I have purchased the Orazo Coot Size 10 Water-"Resistant" Black color.
All the bills and stuff was in place.. The package included only the shoes and an original bill.

    PROS:

(+) Lightweight but strong toe edge. My sister stood on it, and I couldn't feel it, due to the steel toe.

(+) Toe area is very spacey and comfortable. No sweat/ irritation even after hours.

(+) Excellent Grip. One of the Best I ever felt on shoes, including those branded ones.

(+) Overall looks are good, except from front (read in Cons).

(+) Material, Quality, Fit and Finish is great!

(+) High Value For Money, specially when those Bata's & Action's have no such features.

(+) Delivered on due date, alongwith the bill too.

(+) Feedback is good for a safety shoe. Gear changing & rear brake, all under control.

(+) Formal Appeal too, especially the black version. I can use them in College.

    CONS:

(-) Takes some time getting used to. Seems a bit bigger sized than than Size 10.

(-) Looks somewhat strange from front, like those fat Charlie Chaplin shoes. But not a big problem. Can be better styled overall, keeping in mind today's times.

(-) I know its for bikers, but it's a bit uncomfortable for brisk walking, running, etc.

(-) Grabs attention among other footwear, so you might still not want to leave it outside a Temple or so...

Now, I'll use them everyday on my College Commute. Durability is the factor left to see, but I think it won't disappoint me there too. A 1 year warranty is there, but it might last longer too... Let's hope for the best.
Thanks to Sir Old Fox, burnrubbernotsoul and Mr. Vir for helping me out.

Overall Feedback: Very positive. Recommended for Road Bikers who want to be safe!
Although, not appropriate for any racing - on foot or on bike.

The sizes mentioned on the website refer to "UK" sizes. This is the same as what is more commonly known as "Bata" sizes. Our shoe sizing is quite accurate to these standards. Another point: Orazo boots are wide-fitting, so there is ample space around the toe region. So, if in doubt, you may like to choose the lower size.

I have also in the past posted that if after all this, when you receive a boot and find that you actually needed a boot one size bigger, or smaller; and you return it in the original packing, we shall exchange the same. For record, though, there has not been even one such occasion so far.

Well, if you are looking for enhanced ankle protection (as compared to Coot), Picus is a good option. It is 8 inches high, and has an EVA plate wrapped around the ankle

    Hi,

We offer water resistant boots (not water proof). You can check out our website.

For a trip to Leh, I would recommend I-bis - this is 12 inches high, your trouser can be tucked into the boot, it has a shin guard, a reflector, and is available in both the water resistant as well as non water resistant versions.

Recently, I understand Old Fox went for a ride to Spiti wearing Orazo boots, and he mentioned to me that he was satisfied with the performance

first of all congrats for the achievement .i always felt that orazo boots are really sturdy.i use it daily and now find it comfortable.overall iam satisfied with the boot but the only problem is the toe shifter protection. i mentioned in my earlier review about the scouring and now that has become worse, there's a white patch with a slight depression.i tried to cover up the white patch with polish and shiner but still on close inspection the patch shows up. though i must confess that the boot is holding up better than my other shoes. finally i had to use a home made shift protector for the boot.

now i know you have explained it umpteen time that sturdy thick leather will hold good against shift abuse for a considerable period; and the xbhp team tested it during the passion hunt, but the problem is that this is not working for me. may be iam a hard shifter but still i feel that ,if the orazo boot had come with toe shift protector it would have been a great VFM product. so kindly take my suggestion in good faith "please incorporate a sturdy shift protector in at least one of your models , or as a limited edition model to gauge the public response. a lot of guys like me will be more than happy to buy it." so can we expect a version of your boots with shift protector? ....fingers crossed please give it a serious thought. i also urge other xbhpians to express their opinion on this so that the manufacturers can get a feedback as to what improvements the customers want.

    regards

    Hi Vivek,

Upon reading your mail, I get the impression that the top finish of the leather of your boot has scraped off by abrasion. If I recollect well, you are located in Jaipur (the sand bowl!!). Sand has very high abrasion properties. The only way to prevent it from damaging the surface would be to remove the sand very frequently, and then use a polish which has a large wax content; preferable on a daily basis. You do mention that you are now using polish, but on closer examination, the white patch underneath is visible. Possibly, if polish was used regularly before the top finish had actually scraped out, this would not have occurred.

But having said that, I must say that you suggestion of a toe shift protector warrants serious consideration. In fact, when this feedback first came a few months ago, internally, we did some exercises. The solution would be to add another layer of material in about 1.5 to 2.0 mm thickness, with high abrasion resistance properties, at the point where the toe shifter contacts the boot. Unfortunately, by doing so, the flexing of the toe will be affected, thereby, making the boot uncomfortable to walk in. So, there is a trade of there. We felt that a boot should primarily be comfortable to walk in, and perhaps the issue of protecting the top finish of the leather should be addressed by regular maintenance.

We shall review this position again, and see if some other solutions are possible. If there is something we can come up with, keeping all considerations in mind, we shall be gladly offer it to the community.

    regards
