All i can say about the shoe is that it really works. I was buying the regular 5.5 inches shoe before but didn't go for it taking the shin protection in consideration while touring. The 8 inches shoe works best. As told before there is no special stuff provided for shin protection but there is a thick foam padding that does the job very well. Mentioning an incident which happened to me when an old lady drove her car over my left foot in a crowded market place, thankfully I didn't even felt a thing(Some steel toe protection huh ).
The leather quality is remarkable, even though my shoes weren't water resistant they still performed remarkably well in the past rainy season. Moreover there was a day when my office was flooded with rain water it actually prevented the water from sweeping in when I hurried my way to a higher ground. The "sticking property(I don't know what to call that)" of the sole from the shoe is also remarkable as compared to my recently bought 8000 rupee Reebok Reezig which started to come off from the front end of the shoe in mere 4 months with even less use. I have ruggedly used the shoe on tours & city rides & even some sports with only swipes of a dry cloth just to remove dirt & dust. Also, one gets a full 1 year replacement warranty. Talk about the 6 months of that of Reebok & that too when I spent 8000 Rs. Damn!!!
Conclusively I'd suggest the 8 inches shoe to all who are looking for better protection than a conventional shoe & a cheap yet effective alternate to proper riding boots. Moreover one can wear them anywhere, I wear them to my office everyday & they don't even look bad either.
There is also a full 12 inch shoe available but it goes more "Off Road" in my view.
    I hope this would help.
Just one question... If you kick the door of a car hard enough will it make a nice dent...? Could be handy for those annoying cabbies...

ahhhh more drama... This just keeps getting exciting... I finally receive the shoes yesterday evening... Almost 3.5 weeks from the date of order... I return home from work excited and impatient to finally receive my boots... I open the box and a pair of shoes stare back at me... But... Whats this... They seem a bit puny for my giant feet... It turns out they are very puny... A size 7 for my size 11.5 feet... Hmm...

Some mix up in the packing... I get someone elses order...

So returning these shoes and my shoes will be dispatched tomorrow... Atleast thats what has been told to me... The wait begins anew...

Apparently my shoes will be dispatched tomorrow... Exactly a day shy of 3 weeks since I placed my order... And they claim on their site that I will receive them within 14 days... And I get no explanations for the delay... This is ridiculous...!

I have been using Orazo Boots for about 1.5 years now (Don't remember exact). I'm using the 5.5 inches height version of Water resistant Orazo Coot.

See, there is no shin protection. In my 5.5 inch version, the ankle cap is covered with the fabric cushion material that won't protect much on a crash.

Even in the 8 inch height version, I don't expect it to come with anything more than the existing fabric cushion which is not exactly class-leading when it comes to protection.

So, its basically meant for light road use, or use with a good quality trousers that can protect.

Nonetheless, I have a positive review on the quality. Despite using it for all purposes including riding, the feedback I noticed was:

    1. it doesn't slip on any surface, very high grip levels (snow was not tested by me though),
    2. the overall fit and finish is well above my expectations,
    3. once habitual you can use it for light walking, office use, too, I use it regularly, except for playing basketball for which I have sports shoes.

I will keep an eye here, and you can ask more queries or even pics, if you want...

these are basically little bit improved version of safety shoes we use on site............same sole ( anti-skid on water and oil)- read high grip, fit and finish of good quality safety shoes is similar to these orazo, thick leather, metal toe cap, ankle protectioin etc.....only addition is basically may be better padding and/or breathebility.

these are not for me, as i want solid shin protection.

today i went to cramster (adventure world) pune, purchase a magnetic tank top bag, got a chance to veiw all cramster products. checked out boots too. well cramster boots does not provide any shin protection, all they have got is some cardboard like padding.checked everything, like gloves, jackets etc.
I ordered them exactly 9 days ago... And that was a saturday again... so actually last monday...

About cramster haven't really heard good reviews from majority of the people on the forum... Checked a few products online and they didn't really interest me...
