Re: Budget Bluetooth Intercoms (CLIMDER C3) - Review
A lot also depends on how quiet your helmet is. With my pillion I was able talk at speeds of 120-130, for anything about 150 I needed speak a little louder.Originally posted by aquaticbullet View PostIn case of intercom, are you able to converse easily with the pillion/riders at speeds ~80-100 kmph?
For rider to rider yea at sub 100 speeds it was pretty clear, I did not try higher speeds._________________________

So why do you wish to upgrade to SM10 if this is serving you fine enough ?Originally posted by Praful View PostA lot also depends on how quiet your helmet is. With my pillion I was able talk at speeds of 120-130, for anything about 150 I needed speak a little louder.

Also the experience of your bluetooth sets vary with different rides or scenarios (open highway Vs city roads / high cross winds of head winds Vs low head winds etc) or the user experience is similar everytime you sit on the saddle?
and I guess you get what you pay for. My unit is pretty useless anything above 100.
BTW edited the main post with more info.

Re: Budget Bluetooth Intercoms (CLIMDER C3) - Review
For my specific use case i.e. rider to pillion communication the SMH5 fits the bill very well. But for rider to rider communication the SMH5 has relatively poor range only suitable for tight formation riding. For touring where you are more than half a kilometer apart the SMH10 (or above) are better said. That said the SMH10 also offers better battery life and better audio quality along with an increase in range.Originally posted by aquaticbullet View PostSo why do you wish to upgrade to SM10 if this is serving you fine enough ?

And, yes the comm kit well even in very heavy cross winds of course had to speak a bit louder but I was definitely able to converse with my pillion along the way.
I think this discussion about the Sena kit is OT in this thread, since it is primarily targeted for the budget non branded BT kits.

Re: Budget Bluetooth Intercoms (CLIMDER C3) - Review
Good review, mate
I too am looking for a rider to pillion intercom for a really long time. The chinese prices are lucrative, but I don't want to donate my money on a short term basis! Any recommendation for a simple rider to pillion intercom that will work good at 100-120 kmph? No bike to bike communication needed.
