  • Leopard Luggage tank bag review

    Hello,
So recently last year I started to hunt for tank bags, my first need was a value for money option, and a bag I could use as a backpack if the need be.
Looked at many brands, many bags.
One day, a friend of mine suggested me this new brand, Leopard Luggages. Looks like a startup by some students in Mumbai.
Checked some pictures, talked to the brand and ordered the bag.

Paid ₹2300+300 shipping. Absolute value for a 31 litre (expanded) bag.
The shipment arrived by TrackOn courier and was on time.

Now coming over to the bag.

    ARTICLES GIVEN -
1 tank bag, 1 warranty card, 1 rain liner, magnetic base with 5 magnets, pair of tie-down cords for non magnetic tanks.

    CAPACITY -
Bag has a capacity of 22 litres and can be expanded to 31 litres using an expansion chain.

    POCKETS -
There is a pocket for smartphone on top, a small pocket below it, 1 pocket each on both the sides (2 side pockets) and a main compartment with a tying buckle and a mesh pocket.
There is another pocket under the bag which I found later, that holds the rain liner.
There is also an open no chain pocket that holds the straps for backpack conversion.

    MATERIAL -
Excellent 1680d material outside, the inside is a red color, has nice padding too. The smartphone pocket has a earphone out hole too.

    PICTURES -

(The app won't let me add high quality pictures right now, will check that and add later.)

Space inside the bag is very generous and can easily accommodate A4 Notebook with a bottle beside it.

Picture with the rain liner on. It's a one piece layer with elastic at sides.

Base is a nice material, anti slip type and has 5 magnets.

          The strap pockets.

          The straps for backpack usage.

I have been using this bag for almost 5000 kms now. Taken it to many trips and daily commute rides too. Very good and handy thing to have a tank bag.

This bag is a complete copy of the Rynox Optimu-M Tank Bag. It's really disappointing to know that a college startup (young guys) are copying existing products than developing their new innovative products.

Have been using Rynox Optimus bag for more than 3 years (and God knows how many Kms) and it is impeccable in the quality it delivers. Have seen this bag and the magnets used in the bag are so heavy (completely looks like a hard try to copy the Rynox bag but a miserable failure).

Similarly had the Viaterra Claw bag and some company called EMD had a complete copy of the bag, stitch by stitch. Told me again that some young lad has made this.

So better go for the original stuff! All these are fake counterfeit products. They may last for some and may break down in a ride for others.

From what I know Rynox itself imports from China and yes this design is a copy. Both the bags are made in China and you can find similar design all over AliExpress too.
Not about fake and counterfeiting until the Rynox was an original.
I knew this was the design copy before I bought it.
They won't break down, don't worry at all, it's the same thing.
                Cheers !

FREAKING A COPY OF THE RYNOX OPTIMUS-M. DO NOT GO FOR THIS BAG.
Glad that there is someone releasing the difference between original brands like Rynox and Viaterra. Besides I have visited Rynox's factory and both Rynox and Viaterra manufacture it themselves on their own premise and do not import. Rynox has been making this design for the past 3 years now. This bag is a complete rip-off, they have not even bothered to change the design or the position of branding. The word "leopard" comes exactly where "Rynox" comes in the Optimus-M.

If these are young college students they are out for some quick mollah and making a counterfeit. Shameful indeed.

Yes mister rynox is here. Rynox is a ripoff and copy brand itself. Please avoid flame wars here now.

Rynox makes in China and you can easily look up data, don't be so naive and fool people here.

Leopard is doing great and Rynox is worried they have a good competition now.

Try to embrace the competition with quality and forward thinking rather than making such fake and original pictures lol. Those are the things of a nursery child. I could make those with IXS jackets that Rynox copied.

Rynox can't even supply a decent back protector, let alone a jacket with chest protector.

Buddy, I have had used a lot of products by them and I just have shared my experience. Not that I have a thing against you .

And I have visited their factory too and they do manufacture themselves. You can write to them and ask them the same thing or may be ask them for a visit too. Same with Viaterra they have their own factory. I am again just sharing what I have personally seen.

Rynox and IXS is bad, they should not do that either. I am only talking about the tank bag as I have had used it since years

I never talked about Viaterra, why bring them in this ?

Also, you talked about fake and copy, that bag is available on AliExpress and such sites since years, I mean the design.

Also, both the bags are made in China or were made in China. Recently starting manufacturing locally doesn't justify anything for me.

I myself and my friends have also used Rynox products viz jackets and pants and found them low on quality so just sharing what I felt. I can't trust them anymore. Cheers mate !

I agree. One of my friends has also visited their factory for some repair work. They do own a factory.

Rynox and Viaterra (I have both their products from past 3 years) and they both make superb products. Both of them take inspiration from design available in the foreign market eg: Claw is like the Giant Loop, Wolfman and many more. Similarly, Optimus is inspired by foreign brands too like Cortech, Touratech, etc. But that's only taking inspiration not copying.

There is a difference between taking inspiration from another product and ripping off a product. I bought the Optimus bag years back and still using it.
This Leopard and EMD guy has clearly ripped off Rynox products, even the place of the red line passing on the side is the same, logo placement, the inner elastic band, inner liner color (red). That is a rip off! No doubt about it. As I mentioned I have seen the product and the quality is not even close to the Original Optimus bag.

I have used Rynox Optimus bag and Viaterra Claw for 3 years almost and the products are still holding up well even now and this one is nowhere close to the Optimus bag.

So when Rynox copies, it is inspiration. 😂
                            I am done here mate.
Also stop bringing Viaterra into the equation to save a copycat brand.
And thanks for proving my point.

Also, I may not reply now that my point has been proved.

Mate, I just shared my experience as I have seen this leopard bag and have used Rynox for years. Leopard is a Knock-off of Rynox.
This Leopard has no other product. They have just 1 product and it is EXACTLY the same as the Rynox Optimus bag. This is not taking inspiration. This is knocking off!
Who are you to tell me to not talk about Viaterra? I am using Viaterra bag for 3 years and just like this leopard bag, I came across EMD which has copied Viaterra so I posted it here.
