My meter reading stopped at 99999. Apparently, new age pulsars go upto 10L KM of meter read. But this one doesn't.

Only the trip meter runs. Any clue on how to reset that 99999 figure back to 0?

9 years of almost fuss-free 1L+ kms ownership. Will be honest, had never expected I would complete 1L kms with it. Some pointers:

Kick-ass performance - did many mountainous rides with pillion and luggage, all without a single breakdown ever. The rush after 6K-8K that kicks in makes you go woah even today, tops out at 125 kmph and beats so many of its contemporaries even now.
Did I mention the brakes? One of the sharpest brakes across all bikes I have ever used and felt, saved my sorry ass many times from certain disasters (saying this after experiencing Yamaha, Honda range of FZ, Fazer, XBlade and so on bikes). Bajaj killed it with the entire brake assembly - simply mindblowing brakes. Life of brake pads is awesome too. 10K before they need a replacement and dirt cheap spares make it a great affair. I rode a dominar ABS version and was almost about to scream where are the damn bites! Understandably, ABS has this peculiarity of not having sharp bites but for a pulsar owner, moving on to other ABS bikes after years of riding a Pulsar, will be a shock-value change. The silver color I own still makes it stand out after a pressure-wash and spray polished look.
15L tank - Gives it a stupendous range with a mileage that hovers around 40 irrespective of how I drive it. And boy I do drive wild at times, however sane most of the time.

The only problems I faced:
1. One Way Rotor Assembly - The starting problem I faced at 95K were from one-way rotor assembly that failed to stop the forward rotation of the magneto in a heated engine state, thus sending the bike in never ending starting problem. I changed magneto, but fault lied within the rotor behind it that was skipping the traction of rotor bits, changing which solved it.
2. Broken Rockerset - Rocker broke while pulling up in a traffic, and engine noise suddenly changed like something broken inside the engine chambers is consistently dancing. No it didn't stop at all. Ran over 4K kms with noise before changing it.
3. Relay issue - This issue bugged me the most out of given all. I was about to sell it off since I had changed everything from starter motor to CDI unit. And bike used to go into self-start issue randomly. A mechanic somehow caught the issue with relay changing which got it going like new again.
4. Ever depleting engine oil - The engine oil goes real low in just 2K kms. Piston ring and kit being new with no white smoke to talk about, I do attest this to my driving style. I often push the engine to max on all gears, but it does consume engine oil a bit much than its Honda/Yamaha/Japanese counterparts.

Engine rebuild done at 68K, clutch plate changed at 45K and then at 68K. Running on its third chainset, which is about to go out on me in next 1-2Kms. Service Center guys told me to change the coneset at 31K because they thought it had ran too much. I told them to shut up and ignore it. The dawg has been there in stock position even till now, touchwood. Not everything SC guys say, can be taken seriously.

All in all - mighty confused to update to which next bike? Often I think to pick up next version of P180 if nothing else comes close.

It has served me so well - I am unable to find a bike that matches its character, usefulness and practicality in terms of usage, spare parts availability and ownership cost. Truly satisfied beyond words. Plan to keep it as long as it starts showing up signs of Hachiko and then, I will put it to the place it belongs in retired life - country side ownership before finally letting it go.

ha ha.. the noise is not that loud to be honest. just little squeaks every now and then. Not a big deal.

About the rear brake bite being low. Yeah bikes are designed that way. Most of the braking comes from the front as most of the load is on the front tire.
So ideally, you should be using 70% front and 30 rear brakes (if the roads are ideal).
As the road conditions get worse the brake ratio also reverses. So in rains use 50% front 50% rear. In slush and mud use 30% front and 70% rear and in snow or sand forget the front and use 100% rear.

This is done because a rear slide is easy to control and recover from. But if front washes out, no one can recover from it. The rider is kissing the mother earth in a millisecond.

What ride you upgrading to?

After 9 years and 46000 kilometers of fuss free ownership, my ride will be serving a new owner, so many happy memories and rides but after getting a new bike she was just gathering dust at home and i was feeling bad neglecting her. Never gave up on me, no major issues, just regular servicing and periodic parts replacement. 180 is a perfect city bike, good acceleration, decent fuel economy and good brakes with a nice sharp bite.
Before giving her away i washed and polished her, i used to do most of the repairs myself so wanted to do something one last time, took her out for a small ride and in the evening handed her over to the new owner, i was feeling a little bit sad when she was being taken away but it's alright at least she won't be neglected. I know bro. I have dealt with Bangalore traffic for more than a year.
Even then my rear pad lasted 10 thousand kms and front one lasted for 20 thousand kms.
So you are just starting on yours, and have a long way to go.

As for the noise, sometimes the pad itself creates noise and it has no solution. my current rear pad squeaks since I put it on 8 thousand kms ago. I have to deal with it. None of the previous pads made noise. but this one does, and I'm too cheap to put on new ones just because it makes noise.

I will check .. so it will last more than 5000km.. I am not a rash driver.. but traffic in Delhi is not easy too

Depending upon how you ride the life of brake pads and tires vary.

If you ride hard, ie. accelerate hard and then brake hard, your brake pads and tires will has less life as compared to the rider who rides more sedately.
The route you drive also has great effect. A person riding 60 kms on open highway will use less brakes than a person riding 10 kms in traffic jam.

So, with mixed riding your brake pad should last a minimum of 7 thousand kms to as long as 20 thousand kms.
The best way to determine is regular inspection. You can easily see how much life there is on your current pads, when its worn out you will see just the metal plate that holds up the actual pad and very little of the pad. You can also request the service center to open it up and show it to you for inspection, when you take it out for service.

The noise from the brakes is not a major concern f the brakes are working as expected. Dust, mud and other things accumulate and cause noise. A temporary solution is to open up the pads and clean them using sandpaper. But the noise might come back in a few days.
My current pad also makes noise, had been doing it since I got it 10 thousand kms ago. Some pads are that way only, friction causes heat and noise. I just ignore it.
