rd 350.
you can say it runs in our family.
all together we would have had 7 rd 350's at one time. i was very small.
though i remember the ride. i used to miss my school bus quite often.i had a 6 am bus to catch. then as backup papa would have to come for rescue. i used to sit on the tank up front. winter mornings... all i remember next is mind boggling speed and then i would be picked and dropped with water running on both sides of my eyes. damn good...
then when i grew up did not know much about rd350... but due to high level of biking awareness in pune bombay region.....
while i was doing my engeneering from pune university i was introduced to this most impressive bike in Indian history which leaves you nostalgic after so many years.
in my first year i was given a shogun which got stolen in second year when i got it to cal. then during my vacations solely due to hieghtened awareness about bikes my memory told me that there was a bike with my mama(maternal uncle). you won't believe it, ironically parked for years in garage which happened to be at our residence.it was rusting there.

after a lot of resistance from my family i took the bike to the mechanic and got it started.after that i remember i would just stay at mechanics place revamping the whole bike. hunting for parts. keeping the bike as original as possible. the anxiety. and when i first rode it.... still can't forget.. and will never forget. the twin engine and the 2 exhausts firing is just mesmerising.boy i have never been so possesed.( i can say that cause i have a sbk now)
that rd 350 was among the few bikes which came directly from japan...
so it had more bhp than the one manufactured in India.
what a bike....
i feel so excited and young talking about it today as this happened to me 15 years back.
sorry guys just could not control my emotions....
