AFR mixture screw have two O rings, a spring and a metal washer.
Check in the carburettor cavity where you insert the screw for the metal washer. It could be stuck there.

Attaching two pics of the screw along with its packaging.

Keep a note of the number of turns done by you. Track the mileage for a tankful or 2. If you are happy with it then, stick to it for the future. Remember the factors mentioned earlier affect afr substantially.

You must have already googled it, that's the ideal method to get the correct AF mix for any carb. Works great if it works. I usually follow the method mentioned above. I know its not ideal, but it works for me.

Have been on shell full synth for the past 2 yrs. Recently I got the Mobil super moto 10w40 along with the stp moto booster. The stp surprisingly worked really well and the smoothness was surprising for my 12 yr 65k kms odo. Decided to try it after seeing it in yt. But an adjustment to the afr maybe be needed post usage of the stp cleaner. The fuel quality also affects the afr, specially for an old bike. This has been my experience.

Is it correct method. I did tuning because my unicorn has missing after cold start. Also what is your opinion about fuel system cleaner.

Turn to 1.75 and ride again. 1/4 turns at a time. Carry a small screwdriver with you. Engine needs to be warm though, to get an ideal setting. If done on a cold engine the rpm will go upto 3-4k idle speed when hot.

Now I am confused what is the factory setting of number of turns of the air screw. Given that I didn't rotate the idle RPM adjuster screw, at what number of turns should I keep the air screw for factory setting.
