    Thanks Kent.

I have decided not to purchase this, but I do agree that this is a very smooth bike and provides terrific comfort while on the highway.

Even in India its difficult to get the spares of Enticer.
What about the number of Enticers over there?? If there are some good numbers running chances are that you get parts. Before buying ask another Enticer owner about availability of spares.
If parts are scarce better you don't buy it. You can always get this style from brands like Lefan which I think is popular over there

          Re: Yamaha Enticer

Hey guys, any idea which battery I should get for my Enticer?

The specs say it uses a 12v 2.5A; and my mechanic recommends the same. He also says Exide is the best bet and tata has some issues.

I checked with the local dealer and he only has Tata's better that is of 12.4V and 3A

Any one has knowledge on this?

I had some bad experiences with my Exide Maintenance free battery. It started leaking acid. It happened in the warranty period and I got a free replacement. I then switched to Amaron as it has no liquid to spill, as its uses gel technology.
Buy a maintenance free battery so that you can forget about topping it up.

Sorry for being late for reply.I have changed my mind about enticer and looking for something else.
Enticers are available here in Nepal in preety good numbers. Many are modified with fz handlebar.
To my surprise many enticers here are not even one year old. When did yamaha stopped its production. Were they stock for so long.?

                  Re: Yamaha Enticer

Hello everyone. I am from Bangalore and currently ride a 2003 model Golden Beige colored Enticer which has clocked about 98500 on the ODO (apart from the 12000 odd km which was during the innumerable occasions when the ODO wasn't working). I got it converted to a 150 cc from DTW Bangalore in 2008 and have clocked about 75000 (totally) since then. I'm so much in love with her that sometimes I end up thinking what I'd do when the time comes to eventually let go of her. I feel there are multiple features in the Enticer which can be defined as class leading. Impeccable handling at all speeds, killer looks, superb comfort for the rider, easiest kick start, light weight yet stable at high speeds too, just the right amount of chrome, chopped silencer, teardrop fuel tank with offset lid ( have u seen this on the Elimi/Avenger??)..... The list goes on. Having said that, the headlight is a huge let down along with the bad build quality of certain parts and add to it, poor support from Yamaha for spares has made it a bike worse than it actually is. Yamaha, I feel, ruined a gem of a bike [emoji19] and also it's own opportunity to market a product in a segment that had and had few competitors. And they still don't seem to have woken up from their slumber and realized that a sub 250 cc and a sub 350 cc cruiser [emoji7] would do wonders to their sales.

I simply don't know why on earth Yamaha India stopped the production of Enticer. At least they could have upgraded the power figures and the engine. One of the best small cruisers ever available in India. I(and hopefully many of us) miss a proper low-budget and sub 300 cc cruiser in India. Enticer could've well fill the void. Only if Yamaha India were even remotely interested.

Sometimes I feel why on earth Yamaha pays the people working in r&d. Enticer with a new 200cc oil cooled 140 sec rear tyre would have washed away avenger. But instead they are busy on sport and commuter segment. Avenger has no competition .

Finally, got my hands on a Yamaha Enticer this morning, after a long wait! People either quote exorbitant prices or bikes are in abysmal condition. But now that I have it, next questions arise that where can I get necessary parts? I live in Pune but have no problems getting parts delivered from other parts of India. If anyone can guide me in the right direction I would be very glad.
