Only if Yamaha India were even remotely interested.
    the timing was wrong..
i feel bajaj is persistant and more important also get their timing right to suit the Indian market needs and budget. And their bikes share a similar platform for various models, so it easier for them.
Yamaha was lost a few years ago and have regained decent composure (over the past decade) here in India. I hope they don't do something like a suzuki intruder

But now that I have it, next questions arise that where can I get necessary parts? I live in Pune but have no problems getting parts delivered from other parts of India. If anyone can guide me in the right direction I would be very glad.
check with your local yamaha dealer first. the enticer engine iirc is same as the one on the ybx 125cc mill.

I have and magnet coil seems to be the elusive one. Also availability of gearbox is not there, at least with the two Yamaha dealerships near where I live. Hence was thinking if I could get an alternate source.

        Re: Yamaha Enticer

Here is an update on my Enticer restoration so far if anyone is interested. I found that Yamaha SVC's can still fetch you OE parts but takes a good amount of time and money of course First, we tried to convert the front drum to a disc. As I have a classic Pulsar 150 as a donor bike, set up the front wheel of the P150 on Enticer. There was an issue because Enticer has large drum and the shock absorber and disc distance was too much to fit a calliper directly. Some brainstorming was done, a complete disc brake kit for P150 was obtained from Nana Peth for 1500 and the bike now has front disc

Later the big hit was the full gearbox. A sound was coming and the gearbox seemed to completely dented and bruised. SVCs could get the whole gearbox but again time is a factor and would have cost around 14K. Again found used gearbox set at Nana Peth and guy asked 12K. My friend went and somehow managed to get the complete gearbox set and crankcase for 7200 in very good condition. Block is getting re-bored right now and after that, the engine would be put together today

Finally, there are issues with the clutch hub and housing as well but it looks like it could fit current SS 125 material. So we will do it later. Now the whole wiring also needs to be checked because when I got the bike, only headlight was working

Everything else runs off a DC line, so it would be right to check the battery and fuses first.

Will absolutely do that. But the current update is that the bike is finally up and running . Engine work completed, all unsavoury sounds gone except for a little sound from the clutch housing which I have not changed yet. Now I can literally take her out We have so much catching up to do.

Ashwin, the battery is dead. However, even without battery all the stuff should work while running. My plan is to install a new battery, see if that makes any difference. Then check the fuses. Then tackle each electrical separately. Thoughts?

              Guys,
              Newbie alert!!!
I own a Yamaha Enticer which was in storage for sometime. Now I noticed that some component has been disconnected but I can't identify what that component is.
It is a cubical box located near the ignition switch. It have a small pipe connected to carburettor, two larger pipes seem to be disconnected.
It'd be really helpful if you guys could identify the component and post some photos showing the connection and help me in this mess.. : )

I'm also having trouble with crankcase breather pipe. Should it be connected to the airbox or should it be left open?
