@ undefineme3: Of course, the mileage increases as all gears work tall, provided same riding style.
Its very obvious. Even in stock bike, 5th gear gives better mileage than 4th ...
Similarly, when you increase overall gearing, engine runs at lesser rpms, and bike travels further for every drop on fuel.
Although, if you are changing more than 2 teeth overall (positive or negative), then you will have to get another chain (with more/ less links, as per change).
Below 2 teeth, Chain can be adjusted. That's why I recommend changing front one only, as far as possible, as Chain is almost never changed.
But, you can change both sprockets too, if they fit.

@ Prabhakar: Thanks. More from TVS will come up soon ...

@ insanebiker: Yes, according to Rolon website, they supply Bajaj with Chain-Sprockets.Last edited by Samarth 619; 06-27-2009, 03:55 PM.---

Sprocket and Chain Optimizer
Changing the sprocket sizes impact the performance of the Bike. In Simple terms installing a smaller front sprocket or a larger rear sprocket will increase your pickup at the cost of the top end.
Whereas, installing a larger front sprocket or a smaller rear sprocket will increase the top end, but decrease the initial pickup. In general a term changing the front sprocket by one tooth is about the same as changing the rear by 3 1/2 teeth.
Found a link which could help you in deciding the right size of the Sprocket as per your need.

It means the no. of holes on the sprockets, through which the Nut Bolts are attached, to join it to rear wheel.
For example, Bajaj Pulsar 180 UG3 has 4 holes in its' sprocket, from which the 4 couples of Nut & Bolt are fixed, and its attached to the wheel...
This is generally 2 for the front sprocket, as its a smaller one...

Thanks Samarth! One more thing according to the list the Enticer has 9 fitment holes sprocket for the rear.Originally posted by Samarth 619 View PostIt means the no. of holes on the sprockets, through which the Nut Bolts are attached, to join it to rear wheel.

I was wondering if I can put a smaller 40T sprocket 4 fitment hole one?? Everything else seems to be 4 fitment type.

I would like to know how much would it cost to change the chain sprocket of Kinetic Aquila...................also is it available easily in mumbai and where.........any info regarding this will be highly appreciated..........Originally posted by Samarth 619
If anyone needs more from Yezdi, Enfield, Rajdoot, LML, Kinetic, TVS Mopeds, Hero Mopeds, etc. then inform me separately...
That's it for Chain-Sprocket data, unless someone wants more ...

Does any other bikes chain sprocket match with aquilas...........

well i feel that my pulsar 180ug4 has short 1st and 2nd gears ,so can changing the front sprocket result in lesser shifts?
also what is the teeth count front and rear of 180ug4?
constant changing of gears becomes a pain in the @$$.
also would it increase the mileage?
i really don't care if i lose out a bit on acceleration .Last edited by rockinggokul; 07-05-2009, 04:17 PM.Literate people go by specifications.sigpic
