As mentioned by you, I always keep a check on engine oil and coolant. Recently I noticed that, there is a significant noticeable reduce in coolant after every trip, I mean office run. But engine is is still in the same mark. In the cold start there is white smoke, but that is common right? Once engine heats up, white smoke is not there, but some smell is there, not sure it was like that before also.
Once the engine temperature bar is almost full, there is little bit fog kind of particle inside engine glass area.
Whether this is the symptoms of coolant mixing? Bike feels bit smoother now a days. I read somewhere, that is also a symptom of coolant mixing.
    Need help on these things.

I am attaching one audio file also, there is some chick chick sound in lower rpm.. what may be the issue?

    Thanks

you probably have a failed waterpump seal or maybe a headgasket leak.
pl get it checked by the svc. coolant is reducing because it is entering the oil or combustion chamber and hence the smoke u see. white smoke points to coolant being vaporised along with burning fuel.
that fog is due to the coolant mixing with oil.
    your bike needs immediate repairs.

Re: KTM Duke 390 - Ownership Reviews and Experiences

    Hello everybody,
My relationship with xbhp go way back to 2016 making my first bike decision.
This forum has really helped me a lot since ownership of my duke 390.
Recently my duke 390 abs is turning on and off (mostly off) and abs light is going off after starting and coming back later again
I’ve checked braking and abs doesn’t work when light is on.
I had a friend run diagnostic on my bike and its showing error 5015 pump motor malfuntion.
But I believe if abs motor was to fail it would have failed completely and not partially. Sometimes abs light turns off for few kms while coming back up.
He says abs motor needs to be changed and costs way more 20k which im not considering to do right now.
Could there be any other issue.
Saw previous posts regarding this issue and didn’t match with my problem so thought of sharing this with you all.
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks

The sound comes from the front head light part if any body facing similar plastic buzzing sound ask the svc guys to check the head light area.
TP, you are talking about the new gen Duke or the first gen Duke. The first gen Duke were pretty much silent near the HL area, the newer ones were notorious for making buzzing sounds from the plastic shrouds and the HL mount points.

    Cheers!

due to the pandemic and lockdowns, there is a shortage of supply. they are using whatever they have to service the vehicles that come to them and restricted counter sales of parts.
for the oil filter, you can use the pulsar 200ns oil filter, its the same part and usually available at local spares shops and maybe even at bajaj svc. spark plug, you can get the ngk iridium plug (NGK LKAR8AI9)from amazon for around Rs.300. air filter try to clean with compressed air and reuse if not too clogged, should be fine.

How can basic things like fuel filter and oil filter.be out of stock? I think they are lying and keeping the stock for bikes coming to their SC for periodic schedule service.

Exactly i too tought that the buzzing sound is emerging from the key placement plastic shroud.

another thing could be the rear view mirrors.. again hold each rvm one at a time with your hand and see if the buzz stops.
and finally the belly pan, make sure it is fastened properly and check if any tiny stones are lodged in it.

Bought a Duke 250 BS6 a month ago every thing is ok but iam irritated by the plastic buzzing sound in the front part of the bike especially in the lower rpms the sound is very irritating. Couldnt able to find out from were the sound is emerging, Forgot to mention this issue during the first service the bike is at 1,100 kms on the odo. Right from the delivery day iam hearing this plastic buzzing noise.

    Any solution for this noise??
