[QUOTE=B7ACKTHORN;1392637]Your pump is at fault there. Pump, is a basically an electronic component, it can either work fine, or not work completely or work intermittently. When you have your ABS light up on the dash, either your wheel sensor or your ABS pump unit is faulty. Start off by checking the wheel sensors if they're faulty the ABS light will throw up on the dash and the same goes for ABS pump motor. Your braking won't be affected, it will work normally albeit without the ABS assist. The unit is costly, and yes, it's wise to search for a used pump which saves cost significantly. Diag tools help narrow what's at fault. If it repeatedly shows pump motor, then pump motor it is.

    Thanks for replying
Can you please suggest me where can i find a used pump ?
I feel bike is a wild animal without abs and getting motor changed is only way.

Recently my duke 390 abs is turning on and off (mostly off) and abs light is going off after starting and coming back later again
I’ve checked braking and abs doesn’t work when light is on.
I had a friend run diagnostic on my bike and its showing error 5015 pump motor malfuntion.
But I believe if abs motor was to fail it would have failed completely and not partially. Sometimes abs light turns off for few kms while coming back up.
He says abs motor needs to be changed and costs way more 20k which im not considering to do right now.
Could there be any other issue.
Saw previous posts regarding this issue and didn’t match with my problem so thought of sharing this with you all.
    Any help would be appreciated
    Thanks

As mentioned by you, I always keep a check on engine oil and coolant. Recently I noticed that, there is a significant noticeable reduce in coolant after every trip, I mean office run. But engine is is still in the same mark. In the cold start there is white smoke, but that is common right? Once engine heats up, white smoke is not there, but some smell is there, not sure it was like that before also.
Once the engine temperature bar is almost full, there is little bit fog kind of particle inside engine glass area.
Whether this is the symptoms of coolant mixing? Bike feels bit smoother now a days. I read somewhere, that is also a symptom of coolant mixing.
    Need help on these things.

I am attaching one audio file also, there is some chick chick sound in lower rpm.. what may be the issue?

    Thanks

White smoke isn't normal during start up, although water vapor is okay. If you observe white thick smoke and fogging on the glass, you are mixing coolant/oil, either at the water pump level or the head gasket level. Yes, excessive smoothness is a cause for concern, as it thickens the oil to a latte consistency and eventually clog the oil pump and cause a complete seizure. Get it inspected at the SVC on an ASAP basis.

    Cheers!

Smoke is not really good. If you aren't a diy person, i would get the valves and valve seals checked at the svc. Cant stress enough, ask them to use torque wrenches in case you go for checking.
    Hey,

I checked thoroughly, couldn't find any leakage or visible oil strains, also in the coolant pipes there is no sign of leakage.

Here in Trivandrum, KTM is giving parts, I think they got some fresh stocks in the last month.
2weeks back I went there to buy break pad, and they told me so.

    Thanks

I had the front sproket changed couple of years back a teeth down and yes it made a lot of change in acceleration minus the top end speed. A choice of what you want to go for. Hence im guessing ktm wanted a balance of both acceleration and top speed.

After changing front sprocket to d250 one, difference is very noticeable in terms of power in lower rpm. I felt like why KTM didn't give like this in stock form..

Anyway thanks for the input. For this week also workshop will be closed. Next week I will try to give.

    Thanks

water pump seal kit is around 300rs.
apart from that you will need a fresh bottle of coolant, around 200rs.
i would recommend you flush the radiator clean with plenty of water, and also open the clutch side and clean it out. with the coolant entering the engine oil, it is bound to cause some gooey residue buildup. you could go a step further and do an engine flush (with fresh oil + flushing additive or fresh oil+150ml diesel) to remove as much build up.
and then add fresh engine oil + new filter.
now add up the price for 3 liters of oil (1.5 flushing, 1.5 to fill up afterwards).. Rs.3000 (if you use motul) but for a flush you can use a cheaper mineral oil.
    oil filter 75rs.
    Add labor costs.
Apart from that, you will know the real estimate only on their inspection of the damages.
For the flush i got some engine flush 50ml, costs around 200. Put it in the old engine oil, ran for 25 min, dumped the old oil and then poured the new one.

Btw bangalore ktm has stopped giving parts out. They say no parts available due to thr pandemic.
Is this true across the country?

Does anyone know the size of the wheel bearings for front and back? Will the ns 200 size be a fit as most of the vital parts is being shared by ns 200?

that fog is due to the coolant mixing with oil.
    your bike needs immediate repairs.

TP, you are talking about the new gen Duke or the first gen Duke. The first gen Duke were pretty much silent near the HL area, the newer ones were notorious for making buzzing sounds from the plastic shrouds and the HL mount points.

    Cheers!
