Should i continue using it till there is perceptive powerloss etc etc or it starts really belching smoke???
Is it only during cold start you see the smoke, or is the smoke visible even after engine gets warm and constantly emitting from the exhaust? Bluish white is definitely oil burning.

You need to figure out the oil is entering the combustion chamber from bottom through piston rings or from the top through the head,
If the smoke only during the cold start after vehicle is sitting for long time, then it's the time for valve job, could to get the valve job done, replace the valve oil seals and get the seating done.
But if the smoke is emitting continuously even when engine is hot then as pointed out in above post it could piston rings.

Also keep an eye on the coolant level aswell every 1000kms along with oil level, to see if coolant is also getting burnt or not along with oil.

Ok, you've to change piston rings

It depends on which format it is uploaded. Most of the times JPEG works perfectly fine, sometimes TIFF images do get compressed. But, if it's not uploadable, please use URL from Google Drive or other cloud devices, it works fine, for the most part.

    Cheers!

yes the image is a bit 'dirty' due to many people touching it (oil/grease etc). the original is readable if you zoom it. for some reason i wasn't able to upload it to xbhp (kept saying unable to upload), so i put it on another hosting site n linked it.

there was another bike in today, a D200 with idling issues, i.e. the idle used to raise up automatically to around 3000 rpm and hover there. Also had a blink code of 24, and it most likely is the stator or rr unit that might be causing this based on the code. damn these electronics .

Is there any way to find out or it doesn't matter and I can put align the cams back at any TDC mark be it exhaust or compression?
Bring the piston to TDC mark on the flywheel, and make sure the you align the camshafts on the markings provided by them you will have to align them like this - o - and install your chain, you're good to go. The key here is to bring the flywheel marking the same as the casing marking so the piston is at TDC and rest is just aligning the camshafts and installing the timing chain.
