as deville_56 pointed out it could one of few things that might cause the fan to not function.
the asc should be having a small plug in coupler that can be connected to the fan directly to see if it is working, if it works then it could be temp sensor/wiring if not faulty fan. they can also connect diag tool to check the coolant temp and see if the fan comes on at specified temp.

Replaced fan twice. Temperature sensor once. A couple of times it was loose contact at the coupler.

Common issue with new 390's , get Ur fan replaced under warranty. I have got it replaced twice. Mine is 2017 July btw.

P.S terrible soot on the lid, i know. Will clean it later
Well, just as I predicted . Gluk, thank you for sharing the pictures, appreciate that. For gasket, why don't you use RTV gasket around the rubber and allow it dry. It makes a very good sealant, prevents oil leak from the wire exit. It's an easy and cheap fix. The soot on the case would mean, engine oil not replaced for long time or engine oil extended to long KMS. KTMs tend to run on the hotter side, and too less oil or extending an oil too much would mean, the oil will get cooked inside and end up with residue such as this.

    Keep your observations posted.

    Cheers!

Does any know - stator for ktm 390 (13) is same as bajaj dominar stator?
As i can see - 18 coils, 238 watts, similar mounts. but I doubt

Second - is the stator for a duke 200 compatible with old 390? I can quickly buy only stator for d200 or bajaj
The Dominar's stator coil is a direct fit for the 390, though the 200 isn't. Just make sure the length of the Domi's wire are the same of the 390's. If you can and get hold of one, please do post a side by side pic comparo of wire length of the Domi's stator and your old stator, would definitely come in handy for folks around here.

    Cheers!

Maxima is the new kid on the block and they seem to be a costly affair, I haven't tried them so I can't comment. I can recommend you to use Shell, Motul, Putoline, but I'd recommend you to stick with 7100 instead of LiquiMoly.

Good. Now, you can do the DIY by following a few videos online.

For the 390, it's recommended to use 1.6 liters.
