Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 - Owners Reviews
The brakes are a bit weak, although Suzuki claims it has one half of the braking system of the previous gen Hayabusa (one disc and caliper pair). You need a firm squeeze to stop it, during sudden braking. I've gotten used to it though.Originally posted by chiron View PostLive life, a quarter-mile at a time!

Yeah, brakes are definitely the thing I am not happy about especially at highway speeds. I feel like I'd be in trouble if the car in front of me brakes hard and leaving that extra distance to compensate just seems to encourage other drivers to change into my lane.

You should really steel braid your brake hose.Originally posted by chiron View PostYeah, brakes are definitely the thing I am not happy about especially at highway speeds. I'm sorry to hear that... Hopefully you will find a good deal at some point and get a decent Zuma for not a lot of $$.Originally posted by rsk_kelkar View PostHey @gs150r_gilbert. Gonna keep the GS too...

Here it is possible to see at least 10 pre-owned Inazumas to choose from every 6-8 months, but it is still a rare motorcycle to spot on the road (during my daily commutes in Mexico City I only see one or two Inazumas every month, and I see PLENTY of motorcycles, as you would imagine). The problem is really the asking price of a used one, about 100% more than what I paid for my GS back in 2015... and GS is still an awesome "little" bike for the money I paid. I agree with you, though, that Inazuma is the right way to go if you really want to upgrade from GS150r. I am convinced the Inazuma is still pretty good value for the money, even though the logical increa$$e in asking price and parts. Pls keep us posted on your search!

No, it did not, at least not on this side of the globe! (Mexico). The rest of America, even the US is not much different. People hated the underpowered SOHC engine, the high price and the weight (I am talking about the Gixxer 250). And 'Zuma did not do much better (sales stopped around late '17 here) but Gixxer 155 naked and SF did MUCH better here. We are not very different from India, you see?Originally posted by Sid85 View PostIf Suzuki could use the same engine on a mini GSX-R, it would sell like hot cake.

I am actually looking forward to getting a used Inazuma probably next year, but right now I am still enjoying my 2014 GS150r.
Cheers guys!Last edited by gs150r_gilbert; 05-22-2019, 10:48 AM.

Hi Chiron,Originally posted by chiron View PostHad my heart set on getting the SV650 but ended up bringing home the GW250. Couldn't find them in India anymore, so had to move to Canada to get one

This bike is much more comfortable than the GS150 that I used to own and seems to have a slightly lower seating position and the gear shifts are super smooth. I think I am going to really enjoy owning this bike.
Are you talking about GS150r? This is the first time I hear someone say / read about someone who thinks GS150r's comfort is clearly surpassed by the 250! My idea was, ok, Inazuma is somewhat more comfortable with more road stability, but apparently your experience on the 250 has been truly positive! Any additional inputs on this?
Thanks and talk to you later guys,
Gilbert

I've not ridden the gs150 in a while but gw250 was so much nicer for me. The low end torque makes it so good for city commute. I would definitely go for a faired bike like the Honda 300 etc because on the highways the wind blast is a bit much for 250cc naked bikes.Originally posted by gs150r_gilbert View PostHi Chiron,

Re: Suzuki Inazuma 250 - Owners Reviews
Totally agreed, particularly those windy roads that will move you sideways and slow you down. On one of my last rides on GS150r, I was able to hit 122 Km/Hr on some parts of an empty highway as long as I wasn't going against the wind, but some uphill stretches combined with strong winds would slow me down to 90 or so, and recovering to decent speeds (fast cars can push you quite a bit) was not easy.Originally posted by chiron View PostI've not ridden the gs150 in a while but gw250 was so much nicer for me.
