thanks for reply.

yeah i checked in online, it cost some 2K or min 1,500rs and also investing it on online, after few months if any issues i need to take near by shops only for re-pairing. so i thought of checking in shops, they said for max 500rs if any issues later months also they can do that since we are fitting in shops.

and also, if we put the hazard light how the bike will look at night time and the battery life for DRL bikes?

Hi Guys,

Engine heat on RC200 depends on the quality of petrol we use? i noticed 4-5 times when we use Shell (V-power) petrol the heat when we drive around 70 or 80 is minimal but when we use India Oil or Bharath petroleum, the heat is more. i confirmed with all the petrol's we use even hp is better (speed). but people say the refined petrol is Shell and if we use it a lot engine will get damage.

Is that, so? Please confirm.
Riding a bike is like an art, something you do because feel something inside.

haha, i've had my fair share of bumpy rides. just that i don't do high speeds constantly.
i enjoy the acceleration more than top speeds, so at every opportunity am gunning till 80kmph and then stay around that mark.
don't buy that bull**** 10K theory.. iirc the coneset has to be greased at periodic intervals, but hardly anyone does it. It's always a replacement.
If the stock one lasted you 26k, i don't see why the replacement shouldn't last at-least 20k if the work was done properly (some mechanics don't bother to check if the races are seated properly or if the nut has been torqued correctly.)

bad handling - the bike doesn't be stable, you'll start losing confidence..
when braking there will be a knocking sound coming from the front..

the knocking sound was there, but didn't affect my handling by much, however after the 25K mark, the handling started to get affected hence, I changed the whole set.. I guess the whole set can last upto 24K without issues.. (knocking starts are around 15K)

fuel lower than RON 93 - or poor quality fuel - the bike will heat up.. however, a RON 100 will perform as the same as RON 93 when coming to heat.. so higher the quality, lower the heat.. however, post RON 93 you won't feel the difference AFAIK.. s1d can give more inputs here.. I'm sure he will suggest you using "addon-p"

thanks man! No knocking sound yet. Also, Do you use tank grips?
Planning for a saddlesore by year end so looking for options. The traction dots look like they can be peeled off easily.

Hi everyone,
My front left fork is leaking oil. It's dripping all over the floor. I've just covered 9300kms. Does the fork seal fail so early? I rode in the rain last week. Is it covered under warranty?

I too had a similar incident, but KTM does not sell the stalk and mirror separately. If possible, Ask the SVC mechanic if he has just the stalk of any damaged bike or a stalk of the mirror whose glass s broken. I did the same. the mirror otherwise would cost around Rs.1650.

Hello everyone!
My friend had a mishap with his RC200, the bike was parked on the side of the road where it was usually parked with other bikes. Some kids were probably playing with the bike and they probably dropped it on the right side. The foot brake lever was bent, that is ok now. But the structure around the center console is cracked on the right side.

I am attaching the pictures of the damage, kindly tell me what would be the estimated repairs here in Mumbai.
Thanks and ride safe.

That's sad indeed. Considering your mirror isn't broken, from what I reckon the front master brake cylinder/lever setup too has crack and below it's either the upper plate and some plastics, shouldn't cost more than 3k max considering the damage. Replace the cracked cast items, you don't want to drive with a cracked/broken part.

Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

THE END

As pointed out by VJ, get the metal parts replaced. (i.e front brake yoke/master cyl assembly, rear brake lever, and that cracked part). Don't risk riding with vital parts that are cracked/damaged.
These are aluminium parts and hence are 'soft' and deform/break easily on impact. In a way I think it's a good thing since they seem to be absorbing the impact (minor ones such as falls and bumps) and their replacement cost is relatively cheaper.

A couple of weeks ago, i had a minor brush with a car that gently hit my right side foot/foot peg from behind. I was riding at probably 20kmph (so was the car guy).. just a friendly bump and we went our ways. On reaching my destination i noticed that the foot peg had a slight bend! At first I thought the holder was bent (much more expensive) but on closer inspection it was the foot peg that gently deformed itself . There have been times when i've stood on the footpegs (am a massive 90kg) and they held up.. but a bump from behind and they bent a bit.
On an earlier instance a year or so ago, I dropped the bike gently on the right side and ended up with a bent front and rear brake lever.. the footpeg was intact. I had them both replaced and keep the bent ones as a spare (and this spare helped a fellow biker during a crash on a recent outstation trip)
