    so...
    something interesting happened
today i was planning to place my booking on 15th feb and be ready for delivery by march 10-15th ...instead i got a call from ktm telling me that a bike was up for grabs from the last batch due to one of the customers pulling back from the booking !!...
i dropped all my work and rushed to the ktm store and booked my bike while i was placing the booking another guy came in and he had also been called and i was so relieved that i made it before him now i will just have to go and pick my bike on 15th and transfer the amount on 14th ..
i did enquire about the diff of model between 2015-14 they said there is literally none can anyone shed some light on that...anyhow i feel damn lucky that im getting this bike without any waiting period ..
can some pls also expound what should be my to do checklist on D day. also is it true that one should change the engine oil as soon as you run in 15-30kms

I wouldn't trust the showroom guys so easily.

      KTM RC200 & RC390 update spotted testing | Shifting-Gears

That said, I don't think that the 200 will get slipper clutch.
Still, things like cover for the monoshock, improved gear shift lever assembly and better cooling systems are likely to come to 200.

you know i did even bother to check the manufacture date it was 7/1/2015 though these details you mention ...i did not check ,will check again soon and get back...as far as slipper clutch is concerned i am pretty sure we wont be seeing any of that besides a bike without engine braking wouldnt feel nice to me... i like that feedback.

Lucky you.. I didn't even get a key chain..

i specifically liked the color scheme of KTM

          thanks in advance
Not fair to compare unibabe and RC.. uni is not a sports bike and RC is not a commuter.. but I have no regrets in jumping the ship and I still love my unibabe.. mileage, yes, RC will give lower distance.. but the power is compensated for, maintenance is obviously higher.. uni's 1l mineral oil vs RCs 1.4l synthetic to start with..

Takes time to get used to RC, but it's worth the patience and struggle.. but that's just my opinion.

Lucky you.. I got my bike for a cheaper rate.. [emoji14]

          Guess that nullifies it..

Guys, has anyone been able to find fender extender for the rc? I desperately need one. Duke's extension does not work.

What changes do you think will be made on the updated bike?? I think since the rc200 is still only a few months old, there are very few chances of it getting an update.

Hello guys.i need a small suggestion.right now I own an fzs.i want to upgrade to rc.my usage would be mostly in city and one in a while on highway .I'm ok with the riding posture of rc. I'm confused between the 200 and 390.would the rc200 be a worthy upgrade?

If your riding is mostly in city go for RC200. you will never enjoy 390 in city!!

Rc 390 would be a good upgrade, but based on your usage RC 200 would suffice.

Why does the first gears locks with the sound 'thud' and we could feel the bike moving/jerking a bit (with clutch engaged)? Is it because of higher idle RPM or anything else or I am I alone?

Is there extended warranty available with KTM bike, any of you guys enquired? I am close to my first service and I planning to go to Marathahalli SVC. Any recommendations guys? Please share your valuable pointers about this SVC if any of you have experienced, your feedback is much appreciated.
