re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
OK. I got an issue here. I find the default MRF set of tyres to be absolute irresponsible rubber. No grip on braking at all. My activa brakes better than this. Every hard braking has resulted in a massive fishtail.
Is it due to the fresh nature of the rubber, but i've already done 600kms upwards ?
or
Is it just the MRF tyres and i should switch to Pirelli's ?

re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
I think either there is a problem with your tires or your braking technique is not right.
Because as far as i know rc200 has the best braking performance in sub any 2- lakh motorcycle.

Try to use front brake as much as possible. Like Ishan said, RC has one of the best braking gives good feedback too. MRFs in RC200 needs optimum temperature before showing their true performance.Originally posted by jetblack View PostOK. I got an issue here.
However MRFs are MRF and Pirellis are Pirelli. Better the price better the rubber.

It's called a shock adjustment spanner. Used to adjust the preload on the rear shock.Originally posted by Saravanan Murdlock View Post

Thanks. Will try changing my technique for some more time. If not then will change to Pirellis.Originally posted by joe_marvy View PostTry to use front brake as much as possible. had this irritating sound coming from my left fairing.. one stupid nut was loose.. irritating for months!! went to Jubilee hills for fixing, he did it, but it was temporary.. started in a day, tightened it myself. lasted a couple of hours.. went to hitec-city KTM (besides image hospitals), he unscrewed the whole screw & fitted it back in.. two days & no sound..
whoohoooo

According to the manual you can now change the light to the redline and revv it all the way!
I've completed 600kms and cant wait for 1st service and enjoy the acceleration. Its quite ironic that owning a 25hp machine and still havent enjoyed the acceleration!Keep Revving, stay happy!

re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
It depends on what you have limited yourself to till now. A better aproach would be to increase your limits gradually rather than 5k to redline immediately. If you were shifting on 5k, then start shifting on 6k to 7k for next few 100 kms with occasional redline. And after that you can go full throttle.Originally posted by joe_marvy View PostGuys,

re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Sorry I have been on snooze for a while because of work and stuff. But I am back now and I am back with a question. I have done about 1600 kms so far.
Do others also feel vibrations beyond 6k RPM? Not that the vibrations are irritating or unnerving like the REs and the Apaches but its definitely an annoyance. I upgraded from a sweet Yamaha FZ16, which was a no fuss, vibe free absolutely lovable bike. But this one, however fast it maybe, has characteristic vibration beyond 6000 RPM and it gets pronounced if I am not wearing gloves. I went to the SVC to ask about it, they looked puzzled and only tightened the screws on the fairing and the swingarm.
Anyone share the same experience and solution to offer?

re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
Yes, it vibrates all through the powerband! Even I'm in the same ODO range as yours, but to me vibrations have reduced a lot after 1st service (maybe I got used to it LOL). Since your upgrade was from a high precision Jap, this high compression engine would definitely give you annoyance. Solution: AFAIK get used to itOriginally posted by shabi.h View Posthas characteristic vibration beyond 6000 RPM and it gets pronounced if I am not wearing gloves.
