re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
even I feel the same thing.. but at least the guys at my place are honest about the bandwidth.. the big question, why won't they increase their staffing and mechanics?
on the other hand, I hardly see any RC on roads.. the waiting period have come down drastically I think.. what happened??
live long.. live happy.. that's the best revenge that can be served to the people who hate you..

That is called 'business' - it doesn't make them any more money by adding more service space/mechanics because the sales of ktm/ninja's are marginal compared to the regular bikes.Originally posted by Ajay Vishwanath View Posteven I feel the same thing.. but at least the guys at my place are honest about the bandwidth.. the big question, why won't they increase their staffing and mechanics?

And another reason could be that it's difficult to retain good talent/mechanics.. because spending on their training and then in a few months they jump ship.(i've heard this reason from a Honda svc, ktm and my local mech as well.)
There is almost no waiting period for any of the ktms(at least here in hyderabad)..what happened? Well, nothing.. the initial rush was just that excitement. Call it the calm after the storm

I'm happy about the second bit.. Less bikes means more time for those fellows to service my bike.. re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
URGENT
I had a small accident on my bike yesterday
. few scratches on the right side fairing and the brake pedal is bent a bit towards the fairing.
about to go to svc . any idea folks about how much the pedal would cost if a replacement is needed?
n if at all anything could be done about the scratches?

I'm sorry to hear this.. I hope you have insurance.. The fairings might be replaced. This has already been discussed in threads about the pedals breaking/bending.. It should be same as the cost of the duke's..Originally posted by Rollin_StoneR View PostURGENT

Sorry to hear that. Hope you are fine. I am surprised the pedal bent and did not break!! It is cast part and my bike tripped while stationary and brake pedal simply broke in two pieces. The pedal by the way costs INR 380. Ride Safe!Originally posted by Rollin_StoneR View PostURGENT

break pedal would cost you 110 INR plus tax. Scratches can be managed with stickers.Originally posted by Rollin_StoneR View Postany idea folks about how much the pedal would cost if a replacement is needed?

re: KTM RC 200 Owners Experience Thread
afaik, we have the provision for adding an ABS.. just that those guys at KTM won't citing "cost" issues and compromising on safety.. even if we offer to pay more or after-market solution, they be like "no sir, warranty will void" and all excuses..
